I came ripping out of a bowl onto what I though was a groomer. There was about 18 inches of fresh pow. Turned out it was a bumbs trail. I dug my tips in and tomahawked down the trail and almost took out a ski patroller helping some guy with a broken leg.

I screwed up on a rail and landed with my ski perpendicular to the snow and my ski snapped where the holes of my first bindings were. I continued to ski on it and then just ripped it off and went home

Here’s a good one
Just right now as I was skiing down to my office I decided to take the mogul route. Me not so experienced skiing the bumps(Although I can get from top to bottom of the bumps) decided it was a good night to learn(Rain and slush). Anyways The rain started fogging my glasses I can’t see well, I make it down most of the bumps but right at the end my ski binding is loose, my left ski comes off, luckily I managed to grab it before I ate total shit after the last kicker. Everybody on the lift were yelling to the people behind me to wait.. for me.. I ski out of the way try to put my ski back on but to my surprise the brake is pushed so far back (boot was too big) that I can’t even put it back on.

I don’t have too far to go down the hill and the only way back down is on my one ski or walk. I decided to one ski it. My jerry moment is going down the hill with one ski, I looked like a Jerry although I felt like a badass bombing an entire run, riding switch, and even hitting little side hits on One ski!! When it came to the bottom though and it flattened out I stuggled to stay moving and I ate it a few times just riding the flat surface.

This is my first Jerry moment as an adult, it truly is a neccessary experience!

One day I was going back to the lodge and I sit on my ski to gain full speed. I don’t know how, I stick my pole in front of me and ended up breaking my nose.

Carrying all my shit to the lodge and had my pants on but forgot to put on suspenders, had heavy stuff in my pockets and my pants fell down to my ankles, luckily I had shorts and long johns underneath but still embarsssing. Then had to waddle about 50 more feet In front of about 200 people that were all laughing lmao

Opening day at killington around 5-6 years ago my buddies and I saw ian compton, who was my favorite skier at the time, with LJ lapping the little rail park. We were getting hyped up our first few runs, getting our regular rail tricks back out for the first time of the season. One run we ended up being at the top of the park coincidentally at the same time as ian and LJ. Wanting to get silent nods of approval from the more accomplished guys, I planned out a line that started with a crown on the first little box and ended with a back 4 off the bottom rail, which I think was a down rail with a donkey dick, and that was a trick i had been trying over and over to get the last season but was ready to try again. So I rolled up to this tiny, tiny little 8-10 ft flat box feeling good, and got the rotation on the first 2 around, but my front edge completely caught on the first foot of the box and i went down pretty hard face first with both skis coming off. I heard ian and LJ laughing their asses off, and my buddies laughing even louder because we just had a pump up pep talk on the lift about how cool it would be to get to sesh the park with those guys.

Ghahah ye luckly i worked in rental and could just take out demo skies :)! I had 2 pretty gnarly coreshots this season :/ well shit happens

Traversed for like a quarter mile to get twosome untracked right under the lift (it was maybe closed??), started ripping some very wet snow unpack skis. Sent a ~15 footer, double ejected and tomahawked much to the amusement of the people on the lift. Almost got my pass pulled at the bottom by a less than stoked patroller.

just this weekend
a boarder went into my path at the base of a rail and i hopped over him
20sec later i land switch out of a rail and see him behind me
I got distracted and completely obliterated a bamboo feature pole cause I wasnt looking where i was going

My friend, his dad, and his brother were skiing with me, they got on the chair in front of me and sat down weird because the lift had suddenly sped up (it was slowed down before). All three of them flail around before falling off of the chair a few feet out of the lift station, looked like complete jerries, and the lift was stopped for like 5 minutes before they dug themselves out and got out of the path of the lift haha

I remember being a shithead little kid at Jackson for my first time and they had gotten dumped on. So being a a kid from pebble creek where we ski on rocks all year i was amazed. There was a section roped off and I figured I’d go catch some freshies in there. I double ejected and couldn’t find my skis and poles for about an hour when a ski patrol stopped only to say “that’s why we roped it off” then skied away.

Was skiing at ski sundown, dinky hill in connecticut. I was hitting park for the first time, Tom's treat, tiny jumps, easy stuff. Decided to hit the biggest jump in the park at the end of the day. Completely underestimate how poppy it is and have the classic full jerry send to flat straight on my back. Got up, shook it off, all was well

When I was starting to hit rails I was very bad. Arms flailing high zeaching most things I would slip out onto my hip so much the first season of rails that I literally had a hematoma the size of a baseball.

Anyway. I gave myself a nice little concussion one day trying to slide a long ass flat bar. I came in way faster than I thought, popped about 50 degrees rather than 90, legs not wide at all, arms up, and slipped out headfirst into the ice instead of the usual hip onto rail. Glad I had a helmet.

Last season at pow day get hit by the ski lift budle that holds rope in for T bar straight into my gapers gap between helmet and gogs. Got slight concussion and were bleeding from cut. The day was done. That you get for being 6.3 and catching low things with your head all the time... :D

Nollied into skiing switch off a small roller, little did I know the whole thing was a block of ice with no grip, I slipped off the trail and down off of the at least 4 foot base, going at least 15 mph I went straight into a pole holding up a retaining fence, the fence didn’t catch me because it was the pole on the end, I dislocated my shoulder and blacked out right underneath of the start of the lift. Embarrassing

I rented skis that were too long for me, so I switched skis the next day. First run of the day with the new skis, and I fell catching an edge on the catwalk off the chairlift.

- The other night my ski got stuck in a tiny shrub and I just kept rolling down the hill, mildly sprained my knee, and every muscle in my body aches. All because of a fucking shrub..
- after a good run I put my poles in the air with my friends and my pole got caught under my ski after my arrogant celebration and had a yard sale after I rolled and ejected face first

My ligaments are torn at the moment so one of the past weekends I went up the mountain to chill at the bar and enjoy the sun and the good vibes up there. Couple hours (and couple beers ) later my brother came to the bar and asked me if I'm down to film him. Discreetly drunk I was like "fuck yeah lets do it!" So I had a piggyback ride down to the jump line where we had a nice film session. Afterwards he came back to pick me up and we/he skied down to the skilift which was a platterlift with a pretty steep start. I was on his back, holding his shoulder with one hand my crutches in the other, waiting for the (skilift-) bar to come. I was optimistic (my optimism might have been a result of alcohol?) everything would work as planed. Well little did I know ^^ My brother catched the bar and before I realized what was happening we both were ejected backwards, my crutches flew through the air, and both of us landed on our back laughing our heads off.
In the end we managed to get up the skilift, me standing behind him on his skis and holding myself on him, but it must have looked so Jerry like how we struggled to get up this skilift^^

andrewskimaineLast year I hit a 20 footer, not very large, on a pretty average east coast day. For those of you who don't know what that means, it was basically icy/hard snow everywhere. So I hit this jump with way too much speed. I hit it and then was 10 feet up when I went over the knuckle, and then cleared the entire landing. I landed right on my back and couldn't walk for a week, and couldn't ski for a month.


This EXACT same thing just happened to me two days ago right under the lift...

Landed my first 180 of the year off a small kicker in the woods, skied out switch and celebrated the achievement. Not paying attention, I skied right into a giant bank of powder it took me 10 minutes to crawl out of.

LonelyIn my first year skiing I had some line masterminds and a dc snowboarding jacket. I thought I was the shit. Flash forward to me chilling in the lift line with the homies and deciding to show off my totatally sick and radical nose press. I got those skis nice and bent...and then I double ejected and stuck my face about six inches into the snow in front of forty people. I probably should have cranked my bindings...

Had exactly the same experience. Not so fun :/
