Revision Messed Up

So, back in September I was looking around for a new pair of skis for this season. After hours of searching, someone recommended revision skis. They look sick so I got them for a sick deal during the pre-sale. There was only one slight issue, the skis ship date was "mid November" although that was kinda annoying I knew I wouldn't be skiing at all between now and that time. Fast foward almost 3 months and I still havent heard from them, so I sent them an email regarding the shipping. They said that they would contact me in the next week for an Update. They sent another email a few days later saying they ran into some issues during production. "Due to some quality inconsistencies, we made the decision to rebuild a good portion of our skis". At that time I was like "ok, well I would rather wait 2-3 more weeks for solid skis then get low-quality skis now". They also said they would send another email in about a week for a new ETA. I got the email this morning and they said the new shipping date would be THE FIRST WEEK OF JANUARY. Thats almost have way into the ski season. I'm disappointed because the skis looked so fun but theres no way im waiting that long.


But thats not all, they also gave me (and all other customers) a $100 coupon to there website. Sure I appreciate them going out of there way to do that because they definitely feel bad abut this whole situation, but $100 is not gonna keep me waiting around for another month and a half. So, what do you guys think. Are any of you guys in the same Boat as Me?
Could this issue possibly be the end of revision?

Are you going to take in account people who preordered versus people who didnt? I know there were some people who did get skis who payed after preordered circa January-April. Haven't heard of a single case of a fulfilled preorder yet.

I legitimately cannot believe what happen this morning.

After receiving a refund from my bank 1.5 - 2 months ago, I received a letter expressing that Revision were challenging the charge back. My jaw hit the ground - I was gobsmacked that they would even have the hide to challenge the chargeback.

The useless f**ks haven't sent skis out 2 months later (and they would know full well that they will never be sent out) and want my money back?? full on joke....

Essentially those who have have received money back, be ready to see a charge bank reversal...

KarkoskierJust left a nice comment on every single one of their pictures. Whether this it's real or not it really helped me blow off some steam over the fact that they still have my $380.

Looking back now idk why I even pre ordered from them again they just disintegrate under your feet the second they hit snow. Broke my first pair in like 4 days got the warranty and broke those in like 4 days. lol


lol it's been over 10 days since they've told me they're working on solving my issues yet they had time to go an delete all my comments off their pictures. So I just commented on all of them again, which they deleted within minutes and then blocked me from being able to comment or see their pictures.

Anyone who's been fucked over and not blocked go to their page and keep commenting bc they're trying to get preorders for 2018 now and we can't let this shit happen to anyone else.

I have not received my skis, and they promised me a refund back in January which I also haven't seen.

Meanwhile, my buddy bought his at full price in November (I preordered in August) and after he didn't see skis for a while asked for a refund, got the refund and then still someone got his skis. S0 my homie that ordered skis months after I did got a refund (more money than I paid) and got his skis.

So fucked up.

Would really like to get a class action lawsuit going that would be the only solution at this point.

@revIsionskis on instagram. I similarly spammed all 7 of their pictures (one of which saying that they're taking preorders for 2018) Pretty sure it's actually their account too bc they deleted all my comments and then when I spammed them again they deleted my comments within minutes an blocked me.

If you're a man of your word get on their and spam the fuck out of them.

Please if you haven't yet, file a complaint with the FTC. Choose the option "Scams and Ripoffs" then no match found. Next, follow the steps relevant to you. You don't need to give any personal information if you do not want to. Just fill out the details of what has happened in the comment box. It takes no longer than 5 minutes.

Getting the FTC's fraud department on his ass is probably the only thing that will stop him pulling this shit again.

I pre-ordered blinks last august, received them mid February after countless emails, demanding a refund, filing claim with FTC and even trying to get the charge reversed with my bank. Nothing worked and eventually the skis showed up about a week after receiving the email that said "your skis are in the warehouse".

I got injured 2 weeks before getting them so they're still sitting in plastic. I didn't unwrap them in hopes of returning them, but we all know how possible that would be

Because the first time i delt with them they were honestly great with their customer service, and though the quality of the skis were shit I did enjoy the playfulness of them. I got like 20 days on my first pair which i preordered for $250 and they were super quick to replace them and i got another 20 days or so on the next pair. I figured at that rate spending $250 for 2 pairs of skis I'm going to fucking destroy in the park anyways was worth it.

Then I figured hey, they're a newer company I'm sure the quality has improved to I preordered again which was now $350 which wasn't really worth it but I had in mind that I would just blow through the first pair and get another pair.

In both cases with the warranty I was spending under $200 for a pair of skis that I enjoyed to ride in the park which I'd rather do than spend like 400-500 on a pair of skis that MIGHT last longer, but the company would probably not warrant the edge damage. Knowing that Revision was quick to hook me up when I destroyed my edges the previous season, I decided to go with them again this season.

That's what's shocked me the most out of them just completely ignoring people after a while because I had such a great experience with them when they warranted my skis and got me a new pair in less than a week.

Yeahhh I ordered Talismans...never got em and multiple times Revision, including Bill Fuckrooy, claimed they refunded me when they didn't. Finally issued a chargeback claim with the bank, but fuck these guys so hard

He is not affiliated with Armada anymore just an FYI, and for one is a very genuine dude who does what ever the fuck he pleases, and a lot of people respect that.

Logan hasn't worked for Armada since about the time they got bought out...and they probably wouldn't care at all.

It doesn't matter what kind of communication he receives, it's been MONTHS and he hasn't spoken out. If hasn't done it by now, he's not gonna. Not to mention, there is no way this is the first nasty email he's gotten. Honestly, he needs to reap what he has sown at this point. There are consequences to his actions, and if all he has to do is read a few nasty emails, he's getting off ridiculously lightly.

It's unprofessional do that kind of thing and work in the ski industry no matter where you're at - unless of course the ski industry for some reason is unlike any other. If someone does something shitty like this you don't send them abusive emails. Do something productive or don't get involved at all, that's the way the real world works; if you are yet to find out what life is like beyond highschool and summer camps at Hood on your parents dime then I don't blame you, I guess.

Usually I would agree with you that this is unprofessional. Looking at it for literally what it is with 0 background, yup, 95% of people would agree.

But this kind of thing isn't a professional situation either. By that I mean what revision has done is fucking wrong no matter how you look at it. I don't think anyone can defend them at this point. Revision won't respond or communicate whatsoever so it's hard to see any other perspective here.

It's not simply a bad business decision. It's not an athlete being dropped. It's not a price increase. It's this company/dude fucking over hundreds of homies in an already small market and refusing to help, accept responsibility, etc.

Because of this, I really see nothing wrong with calling out revision on their bullshit. They've had the chance to make things right with their customers. Some even were refunded by their banks and that refund was reversed by revision. If they really were trying to settle this why continue to fuck over people?

sorry for the rant. I originally just wanted to make a joke lol but yeah. I see where you're coming from. I just don't view this as a typical situation nor a professional one to begin with. So it's hard to view it as such.

No arguments here, that email was super unprofessional and completely unprovoked as I don't really have chips in this pot. But adhering to "professionalism" is something that I, personally, haven't found useful since my time in the oil and gas industry, long before the ski industry. Sure, sometimes you spout off and get pecker slapped, but I've found that everyone, from your piers to CEOs of multinational corporations, appreciate being genuine over cloaking your personality in some flaccid facade and call it being "professional". So with that being said....
