Housing for month in Japan.

Hello,

So I worked harder than I ever have for the entire summer to travel this winter. Probably living super cheap in southeast Asia for a while, EXCEPT in February, because I want to spend a month in Niseko.

Can anyone recommend a studio that I can rent for an entire month that is kinda cheap? I would be love to live outside of Niseko's base area. Budget is ~$1000.00.

I am open to Hakuba as well if the housing is right.

Housing is unfortunately crazy in Niseko these days, you would have to be really lucky to find a studio for anywhere near 1000 dollars for Feb. if you want to be in Hirafu, the most budget options are roomshare hostels, and they are still expensive per night (around 50 bucks p/n). Cheaper would be staying in Kutchan (20 minutes from Niseko), you might be able to find an apartment or something to rent there. Join the facebook group 'niseko workers' and someone might be able to help you.
