We all started somewhere, what kind of gear did you have?

For me, after years of renting when I was about 9 or 10 I saved up enough money for some K2 Bad Seeds (129cm) with some Rossi bindings. I had some used stiff something like 110 or 115 boots when I probably weighed less than 100lbs. I rounded out my kit with some generic black ski pants and a blue reebok ski jacket.

I had the same amount of fun as I do now and I even taught myself to slide boxes with that setup.

What was/is yours?

Solid thread idea

When I started riding park, this was my starter kit, and it doesn't get much worse than this

Head mad trix jr... Because they didn't make real jr twin tips at the time, and my mom didn't want to pay for adult skis. Half tips at back meant I dug into most transitions going switch. Thanks mom

I also had a special blend puffy (few real ski brands at the time) one of the original red helmets, and some Oakley e frames

I quickly realized it's hard to source pictures when everything you owned existed largely before google images

Funny i had the same setup. when i was 11 bad seed were the cool kids skis. generic pants and jacket were the norm.

My first skis were an old pair of rentals my parents bought me for christmas. Black bibs and the coolest black and orange obermeyer coat.

First pair of twin tips were a pair of 2009 rossi sprayer FS with fks 120 bindings. I used them like 8 times then bought some chronics. I was rocking some orange oneil pants and a red and yellow burton jacket.

My first several pairs of skis and boots were used, ski swap finds, demos, hand-me-downs from older cousins, etc. But I do remember my very first pair of new skis being rossi rebels. I was probably like 9 or 10. Man did those things rip.

I had some Solomon 912s that I got from a rep at Mt. Hood to put on them I was probably 14, it was pretty much like Jesus came down from heaven with the good news.

Started out renting for a few years and then when I finally was able to get my own gear I started out with the OG line invaders and a set of marker binding that I can not remember the name of. Still have the setup sitting in storage to this day.

Hella beat-up pair of Halos that were a bit too long, FKS18s that were way too high DIN, the kid's version of Salomon SPK boots that were way too soft, and no poles LOL but fun was had.

I started on a pair of Sierra TT1's with axiom 110's I got from the house when I was 12. They lasted until 2 seasons ago when I snapped them in half in a bad crash. Rounded Off with a pair of lemon yellow 75 flex Rica boots that were way too big

09' 4FRNT Grom 137s with some old salomon Z12s (or 10s idk)

My first real setup was some 161 AR7s with Z12s

i also had k2 badseeds and mine had marker squires. One of them is cut in half and mounted on the bottom of a bike and another is leaning against the wall in my room.

Vokl step 138s. Bases had gashes everywhere. Probably 5th hand skis.
Half broken marker 4.5 juniors. Bent brake, very chipped toe pieces.
and some very old dalbello cx3s.

Yet I still managed to learn grabs and 180s somehow.
