I was just wondering if anybody has bought this HDPE stuff at menards and tried using it on a box. I saw it in the store one day and it seemed like it would slide well and it was pretty strong but did not want to buy a $55 piece of it to find out it didn't work.
yes, this is what all the box rails in your park are made out of. it will work great as long as you use metal coping on the sides. rows of smaller 1/4-1/2 inch pvc lined up on a 2x10 piece of lumber works great and is cheaper. you can always use your desired box width and pvc diameter just know that the smaller pvc pipes tend to be more brittle and prone to cracks and chips. hope this helped, have fun on a dope new rail either way!
Thanks I was pretty sure this is what they used on boxes just wanted to make sure. I already have a bunch of rails and want a 8-12 inch wide box and I don't feel like putting that many pieces of pvc on so I think I will try this stuff.
