You sure? My 184 devastators are alreqdy a few inches taller than me, the 189 won't be too much?

I have 184 devestator and 189 kye. Getting next years 182 kye aswell for touring and trees/pillows. The 189 dimensions is ridiculously big for a touring ski. It really shines in big open fall line alpine skiing. Id say if you do plan on touring highly consider 182 and or next years as well, they've dropped alot of weight for 2017.

it really depends how hard you ski im 5'9 160lbs and ride a 193 automatic for chargin and 188 rockstars for a more jibby pow day. Personelly I would never go shorter in either of these skis.

i really like the current length of my devastators, haven't tried a huge variation of sizes though

well then i would say the safe bet is to go for the 182, But if you decide you want these skis for going hard then jump for the 189

I d go for a 182, especially when you re planning on touring more. A 189 ski with your size needs some good kickturn skills to make them properly, if you' re not planning to fall, slide down and blame yourself in front of the hardcore touring guys ;)

182 is perfect for where you live, Imo (If you still live in Utah). 182 isn t too short if you re charging down chutes or big open faces. Enough stability cause of the pretty traditional shape with the stiff tail. On the otherside not too long, so the ski is still nimble enough to rip the trees fast.

I am 6"3 and I am touring on 183 (light setup for long ascents) and 188 (for anything under 7000 vertical feet). Especially my 188s are sometimes a pain in the ass after the 35th kick turn... I dont wanna go longer.

The kick turn argument is useless, if you re either doing 0 kickturns or less than lets say 2,5k vertical feet.

tl;dr go for 182 perfect mix for everything. Trees, open bowls, chute or tight stuff

Grabbing a pair of automatics if I can find them on sale this summer. Can't decide 186 or 93. Leaning towards the 193 I already have a solid pair of all mtn chargers in 189 and love the size.

Anyone been on these yet? mount point on the 182 is -7cm from center. Think they ride well at like -3 or -4 from center??
