elcornholioFrom what I've seen, Oslo hasn't had the massive jumps that X Games Aspen had and time to build may have also have been an issue, but by all means prove me wrong.
The public park they put up in Wyller is not the same as what gets built when they host contests. Trust me, they have the snow and the resources to put up a killer park with big jumps. It's been a few years since the last major contest they held, but they hosted the world snowboard championship in 2012, and the Oakley Arctic Challenge the following year (i think). That run is actually perfect for a big slopestyle course.
The problem is hauling all the broadcasting equipment up there, and seeing as this was the first year hosting the x-games i can see why they didn't risk spending a ton of money putting on a slopestyle event also. The city came up with most of the money, and a slopestyle course lasts for a maximum of a couple weeks. Thats probably why they added skateboarding, that skate park will last for many years. But considering the response from the crowd, the athletes and everyone involved, x-games will be back next year, even bigger. And hopefully, with slopestyle included.
