treebeardit's big and has some of the best groomers you'll ever have the pleasure of ripping. small crowds, basically limitless potential in the trees if you're there during a dump. really it's a big, fun mountain with side hits all fucking over the place. baldy itself doesn't have a park, but there's a good one down the street at dollar. most of you guys are park skiers so that probably sounds more enticing, but if you're there for a few days i really highly suggest checking out baldy, it's just a great mountain
I will second this. Sun Valley was the first place I ever skied out west. I was in 8th grade and I did not want to come home. It is a fun mountain, great groomers, good trees, and open bowls. If you are from the east I suggest avoiding the park, even though it is good. You can always ski the park back home, you might as well take advantage of a big western mountain when you get the chance.
The one thing I will say is that it is not super steep. Don't go there expecting Squaw of Jackson because you will be disappointed.
