The screw will grip and pull down the last little mm
djdiggidydaveOkay but the thing I've heard about not drilling deep enough is that the ski could possibly bulge out the bottom. Is that because the drill depth is too shallow where the wood if forced to push out the bottom or is that common when the screws are too long for the ski?
japanadausually dimpled bases are caused from too long of a screw being used. Usually happens when a screw for a race plate or other system bindings get tossed into the wrong bin and the tech doesnt notice until its too late.
Dimpled bases are an easy fix if anything does happen tho. I wouldnt worry.
