What would you do if you won the lottery?

So recently i had been paying attention to the Pennsylvania lotto and numbers and what not, anyways, i was amazed while thinking what you could do with $50,000,000; so i wanted to ask what you would do if you found out you won the lottery for $50,000,000

Personally, after i had received the money, i would leave all my belongings, buy a plane ticket to somewhere out west, buy a house, new cars, clothes, everything top to bottom, but away half the money i have rest and donate the rest..

What would you do??

Invest it and live off the interest. Even with 3% interest on 50 million it would earn 1.5 million a year.

I'd donate a good portion of it. And then after I'm done with my ski bum phase, I'd spend a couple years just traveling the world 24/7.

get a decent house on a bunch of land and preferably on a lake. buy a bunch of toys (truck, dirtbike, motorcycle, boat etc.). then invest the rest and live an awesome fucking life

I would go straight to OP's house, stopping on the way only to buy 1,000 red roses and a tiffany necklace. There I would stand at his doorstep, surrounded 4 ft deep in roses, and knock on the door. When his mother answered the knock I would then engage her in negotiation, culminating in me purchasing her undivided attention for a week. I would send OP away to some shitty second-rate ski camp like Windells so that he wouldn't distract us. It would be an amazing week and OP's mother would never be the same again (nor able to walk without a slight limp).

I've always wanted to pull a really stupid rich person prank like that though. Something like stealing wheels off of someones car and replacing them with something super high end. Of course, I'll only ever do that if I get rich.

I would tell myself to spend as little as possible but I would end up getting a ton of awesome and pretty pointless shit to play with when all of my friends and family began to resent me for winning the lottery and not giving them a ton of money. Eventually my wife would divorce me and take most of my money so I would have enough left to think I was still rich when in fact I would be going broke due to high taxes, poor business decisions, and the psychological imprint of once being a half a billionaire

Buy a modest house somewhere with garage space. Buy a bunch of steel. Build rails to donate to smaller resorts. And then the rest of the time travel. Travel fairly poverty style but having that ability to spend money if needed.

Really wouldn't need over a million. But would probably keep 5 or 10 just in case something fucking crazy happened and I needed money to not get killed. And I guess if it's there might as well spend a couple over the lifetime.

Would invest the majority of anything I was keeping.

Open a hostel in the mountains in the states somewhere. Maybe buy a couple houses and let friends live in them if they don't trash them, so I have a place to stay.

Would probably spend a good chunk of 2 years or so after getting that money abroad though.

I want to see the fucking world. Seriously. That freedom that would create would be amazing.

Maybe start my own contest series. Build some wild shit. Would def end up working in a park somewhere for free here and there. I wouldn't want to not work just because I was rich. That would bore me

I would pay off my bills, pay my father's bills and buy him a decent house with a nice garage so he can work on his toys and give him some extra cash, buy a newer car, buy a cabin at Jackson Hole, travel A LOT, invest a good portion of it and put the rest in savings and just live off of what accrued on the interest.

help parents move to a nicer house
help parents pay off debts, loans, etc.
move my brother into a nice apartment since he needs to gtfo
buy a house in either the middle of nowhere VT or northern NH
live in PC with a pretty nice house with a 10 car garage
drive in the rally america series
work a decent part time job.
put away about 15 million away incase I go crazy with money.
go drive on englands beautiful roads with my brother and 2 friends
go to japan and new zealand
retire with a smoking hot wife by the age of 50.

Assuming $50,000,000 is after tax, I would invest it as a high grade municipal bond and live off the interest which would be $1,500,000 to $2,000,000 a year. Then to please the Well you should donate it people I would give the original $50,000,000 plus whatever interest accumulated over the years after I die. Sure there are starving children today, but I can guarantee you there will still be starving children in the future.

I would pay off my college loans, give my parents enough money for their lake cabin replacement, buy a boat, travel the world for a few years, then invest. I don't think that is too crazy. I don't think I would stop working though, I like my job.

If I'm being honest I'd probably buy a sports car, nice suv, and 1-2 million dollar house and then invest the rest and live off the income without ever working again. Not too idealistic or noble but I feel like I would be 100% content surfing, climbing, and skiing every day

Id definitely buy up as much property on islands in maine as possible, then destroy the houses that are there now, and build a huge series of windfarms. I would save one island to be my own private island. Id then sell the power back to the grid and make $$$ to send my kids to college and ski all while I help save the environment.

First thing is all debt, paid.

Second is distribution to family and friends.

Third would be a vacation.

Then worry about everything else when I get back. Probably look for a new place to live, car, so on. But that would take time and research.
