So I'm planning on buying a pair of icelantic da'nollies this summer, but I'm not sure what size I'm going to get. I've talked to a few people and they say the run a bit short. I'm 5'6" and I'm still growing. Im going to be skiing at alta and park city next year and I hate the look of short skis on people. I ride 60% jumps and 40% rail. What do you think ns?
back when i was about 5'10 and like 14 years old this guy at my shop convinced me to buy my 188 crjs, they were massive at the time, but im now glad theyre that long as im like 6'1 now and love the extra stability and float that longer length gives me
The 170cm is definitely the safest bet. If you know you'll grow a few inches to say 5'9", then the 180cm would be better for over the next few seasons. However the 180cm for now may cause some handling issues. The rocker makes the ski feel shorter and more agile but you'll still have a lot of nose/tail to deal with when ripping around. I'd say go with the 170cm as a safe bet and not only will it work great now, but it'll still work fine even if its technically a touch too short for your height.
