POLES OR NO POLES
when learning new tricks and even doing some tricks eg. rails, backflips (1 i do with rails 1 without) but what is easier to use poles or to use no poles?
It depends really, some people are better at going without poles. But for others, who have used poles their whole lives it can really throw your balance off if you switch to not using them.

It's up to you. Personal preference I suppose.
And there is a search bar btw. This thread has been repeated so may times.
In the park, poles aren't really needed. There is no need to pole plant, but I personally find it easier to ski with poles in general.
Grabs are slightly harder with poles and you can't grab with 5 fingers.
who needs poles when you have the search bar
Hi, I'm fresh_prince. Not only am I unfunny and unoriginal, I'm also a chronic masturbator with a guch hair fetish. My favorite hobbies include sucking dick for skittles and eating out my cats butthole. One day I hope to be shot at with a paintball gun while running naked through inner city Chicago. I love ice cream socials and hate right boobs. My favorite color in rust and my favorite band is Nickleback.
I love the no poles look, but I look really stupid when I go no poles, so I now ski with poles all. the time. Even when learning new tricks.

I lost a bet and I had to ski with one pole all day. I just rowed with it like I was in a canoe.

I use poles to show all the females how long my "ski pole" is. I have 176cm poles.
Depends on what I'm feeling but honestly poles don't matter much, I mean it's more of a style preference. Although this is my first year on skis and when first skiing in the park I didn't use them and never really enjoyed using them, but once I started using them and got used to doing grabs while holding a pole which can be tricky with mitts, I sort of just kept using them and one day I tried went without them and it was fine but it didnt feel right, but then a few days later I went and didn't use my poles much so it depends on the day but I usually go with poles now.
switching to no poles made tricks easier for me
do boners show up on x rays?
No poles no pride!
When in doubt butter it out.
Candide said he doesn't like the no poles thing. That's pretty much all you need to know.
They both have their ups and downs. In my opinion skiing with poles gives you better style typically, but I ski without poles because it feels better, easier to grab, etc
No poles in the park, but poles when skiing out of the park
Cut down poles are where it's at
I use poles for balance unless im in my backyard or anywhere thats not a legit mountain then no poles
I only ski with one pole… and its in my pants
I stunt like my paps cause he kills it on them skiis.
CH is my home and city boy's got that steeze.
I use poles for learning new stuff and getting comfortable at it. I used poles for a couple months this season to get comfortable keeping my hands down and prevent my arms from waving around. Now I don't anymore and on an average day I wont. Way better and more convenient, especially with rope tows in Minnesota
