Armada Pipe janitors vs rails

so the flex pattern of these skis look like they would suit my style but I'm not sure how they hold up on rails since they have the comp base or whatever. Would i be waxing them all the time if I happened to do this?

just keep them waxed every 2-3 times you ski and you should be fine i skied mine for 2+ seasons and they were still in good condition when i sold them

They'll do just fine on your standard park rails and boxes. If you're planning on riding them over rocks or concrete urban then you might want to go for something with a tougher base but for the general park riding then you will be fine.

As said by pghjibber I'd wax them after three days skiing, Armada bases are good and hold wax very well.

Thanks for the input, would you think the THalls would be better? It's a toss up between the pipe cleaners flex pattern and graphic the THall s7 base. Just don't know which one would suit me better performance wise

The pipe cleaneris a very fast ski. I never once waxed mine, and they would still be boosting. I would still be using them, but I have sadly outgrown them

Thanks for the help on the decision, seems like the pipe cleaners are what I'm looking for!

They were super solid skis. They still look new, and I have retired them as my summer setup skis. Loved the flex on them

People will tell you to wax them every 2-3 uses and if you do great, more power to you. But you absolutely do not need to follow that to a T. I've had many skis with race bases before (even race skis) and didn't wax them nearly that much.

Obviously waxing them that much will help you get the most out of them, but you won't lose a lot waxing them every 10 times. Bottom line is don't let waxing detour you away from them.
