So, lately Goepper has started making edits and incorporating more style into his skiing, but his Nine Knights edit really blew me away. Do people think that his robot like style of comp skiing will start getting less hate after seeing good edits from him?

Maybe goepper is a nice kid, or cool homie but nothing about his skiing will ever seem real to me. robots can learn to look like humans, but that doesnt make them human. Goepper lacks the "raw" factor and doing nose butters or throwing rocks will not give him that.

I think this Mammoth edit is super sick, but nothing about his style really makes me want to watch his videos over and over again.

My bad for having an opinion. I put raw in quotes because I realize how it sounds to say raw but it accurately captured what nick's skiing lacks in my eyes. He seems inauthentic. I don't know what his skiing is because all he's ever done from what I can tell is ski for judges. Whether that be AFP FIS or the comments on newschoolers- he seems to be skiing for approval more than for himself. I'm not intrigued by that.

I like Geoppers skiing. The edits he's put out the past seasons have been great, really enjoyed watching them.

The problem I have with him is his personality. He acts like skiing is such a hardcore, cut-throat, competitive sport, and doesn't really acknowledge the 'free' side of it. And cmon, he held a contest to date him, kinda a douche move...

I guarantee you, if Goepper put on XXXL clothing and you had a different kid in some B-roll footage and no one knew it was Goepper everyone would froth on the style and technicality.

There is no doubt he is a very talented skier, I'd like to see him hit the streets, seems unlikely though. Even though he can hit any park feature and do a difficult trick, I still don't enjoy watching his style at all, its clean but very stock, its like he has no personal effect on his style, he just grew up doing comps so thats the style he has.

i dunno, i've always thought he's had pretty clean style

i ski at a resort that doesn't have a park though so pretty much everyone that can hit a rail somewhat clean has good style to me

there is no doubt goepper is one of the best slope skiers out there, i mean lets be honest its usually him or kenworthy at the top of the podium. He has a really deep bag of tricks and is consistent with them but when i watch him nothing he does really jumps out at me, he can flip and spin a lot which is cool to watch, but i dont get that sort of jaw dropping feeling i get when i watch someone like torin or b-dog or vinney or even someone with a really unique style.

What I think about Nick is that he is trying to switch his skiing style so hard, and that doesn't feel authentic to me, I respect his skiing very much, but thats just how I feel about him.

exactly. there's a big difference between contest style and film style. goepper just happens to have the contest style. it gets him tons of points from judges, but just looks a little bland to the regular newschooler

Style is not 1 hit/ or trick, style is overall. And overall, Goeppers style is boring. But he's trickbag is entertaining.

Doesn't matter, he should already know what people are going to say about him, I just think its funny that hes TRYING to switch up his skiing, looks more forced imo. In my eyes, skiers like nick should continue to compete, do 810s and shit because nobody can touch the bunch style wise, they just look awkward trying.

Maybe after all the pressure to change his style, he decided to give it ago and is actually enjoying new way of skiing.

I doubt he will ever be in my top 10 but there is no doubt hes a fucking good skier.

I think the maturing of a skier comes with the development of their signature moves in take off and flight. Sure eldollo has some sick butter, but goepper has some of the craziest screamin' semens.
