So I was out filming yesterday (bluebird day) and I thought I had everything adjusted correctly (I shoot with a Canon T3I).... But when I came home all of the videos were to bright! So I am just wondering what your guys settings are for bluebird/Bright days on the hill? (Shutter speed, ISO, F.Stop,ect...) Thanks!
I'm assuming you're shooting 720p, 60fps. If thats the case I usually shoot:
Shutter speed - 1/125 (Usually double your shutter speed in relation to your fps)
ISO - 100
F Stop - Varies (I usually adjust the F Stop depending on the amount of light)
White Balance - I set a custom white balance but it's usually around 5600k
Feel free to correct me, I would love to see what everyone else shoots in as well.
Use and ND filter and then have you your shutter speed twice the frames per second you're shooting. If you're shooting 720p 60 frames per second you'll want a shoot a shutter speed around 1/120. You'll want you're ISO at its native rate. Somewhere around 200-300 I believe, and then your f stop 9-11. This is what works best for me to get the sharpest video possible.
