So I went at +3.5 from the 0 line for my mount. Any thoughts on this? I went for the 186 so had a little more room to hang out the tail. Didn't want a center mount but something slightly back from it. So hopefully they work well at this spot
hot.pocketIf the ski was designed to be mounted at 7 back, I wouldn't have gone any more forward than 4 back. 3.5 will still work fine and you'll have a great time on them, but there's a lot more to consider than just the dimensions / flex of the ski.
Either way, they'll still ski fine, but I tend to try and get people away from mounting dead center unless it's a fully symmetrical ski. Even on a ski that's designed for -2, it's going to ski slightly better mounted at -2 and you'll hardly notice a difference (even in the park!).
Let us know how they work out!
