Thoughts on the new GoPro

What do you guys think? I kinda wish that they'd put the black and silver edition together, since the black doesn't come with an LCD on the back. It seems like the black edition does 4K in 30FPS now, which is nice, but no 240fps? Come on, even an iPhone can do that nowadays. Honestly, the silver edition might be the way to go since a lot of people don't even have the tools to work on some 4K footage yet.
Id buy the black if it has some optical and low light advantage over the silver. Regardless, I still kinda feel disappointed about the new gopro.

I just got the 3+ Black Edition and I see no real reason to upgrade. It's nearly identical, except for the 30fps in 4K. If I bought one I'd go with the silver so I don't have to buy an LCD Backpak

I think the way they did it is perfect. I never want an lcd built into my gopro. It gets dropped and beat up way too much, and that seems like it would be too fragile. The 30 fps at 4k is great and will make it a lot more usable, but I am more excited for 120 fps at 1080p.
The silver on the other hand is great for your average user that wants to be able to pick it up and go, look at their footage, etc..
Well done, GoPro. Can't wait to get some.

your looking too hard at the flashy marketing they are throwing out for the average joe. "woah 4K whats that I want that!" means nothing but as the person above me said the 120fps at 1080p excites the person who knows whats going on and is going to use the camera to its potential.
