Netflix or Amazon Prime? Netflix has a lot of it's one series(not many great ones), amazon actually updates their shows with new stuff. And you get 2 day free shipping

So I am asking people with experience

I got the free trial of Amazon Prime and its still giving me access 16 months later. Pretty tits if you ask me

If you have a kindle and you use amazon a lot get prime. I got it with the student discount to buy textbooks in college and I have kept it ever since. It saves you a lot of money on purchases and shipping, prime instant video is really good and underrated they just added a bunch of HBO shows like band of brothers, east bound and down, etc.. Honestly I think amazon selection is better than netflix since I have both and use my prime a lot more, netflix has more but amazon has better options imo. Additionally if you have a kindle you get a certain amount of free book checkouts a year. Plus now you get free music. And you get all of it for about the same as netflix (only downside is you dont pay month to month you have to pay 99 for the year).

I have access to both and it's tits because they both have different shows and movies to choose from. The 2 day shipping from prime is sick though

How much is Netflix? Prime is $8.33 a month, or less if you have a student account.

I have access to both and both have shows and flicks that the other does not.
Prime also comes with prime music, which is almost like spotifly. 2 day shipping is sweet.

i have both. lately i've been using prime more, but that's because it actually gets updated and ive been through everything on netflix already.

one thing i hate about prime is that they'll give you season 1 and 2, but then you have to pay out the ass for the rest of the seasons. at least with netflix, they pretty much give you everything (except current with shows that are still running).

so if i hadn't seen it all already, netflix.

Netflix is much better in terms of selection for videos. I don't order enough from amazon to justify prime, so I just use trials (mine/family/student etc.) and then make big orders. With that said, if you order enough, get prime and then get netflix from a friend.

i have both, prime for certain shows (HBO stuff) and so forth. It really helps when I actually have to buy a textbook for a class or rent one. It's a lot cheaper than barnes and noble is.

Can't speak for netflix because I've never actually used it, but there aren't that many new movies on prime. I mainly take advantage of the free 2-day shipping.

Word. I wonder how many people try those things, don't cancel and think they're getting them for free.


Honestly not being able to try it without a card fucked me out of trying it. I didn't have a card. Eventually ended up watching it through somebody else and decided why change it.

Just have both. Netflix is better in terms of free streaming options (imo, but it still feels limited), but the ability to purchase programming and 2-day shipping (and super cheap next day or same-day shipping) with Prime is just too bloody sweet.
