What to do when you're done with PT

So yesterday was my 3 month mark, I finished my PT, and have 3 more months to go till I'm cleared for full activity. Doc said I can do straight line activities, but I have been doing agility drills at PT for the last 2 weeks.


Now that I am not working with someone its on me to figure out what I should be doing, anyone have any post PT work out routines to keep the knee strong while working towards 6 months?

seems like this is a question you should have asked your PT guy at your last session hahaha. maybe give him a call and see what he says?

Keep doing pt. I was supposed to stop after 3 months but I kept doing it until about 5 and a half months out, and it definitely helped a ton

Sorry, what was your injury? ACL?

Do you have any specific information to what was achieved with your PT?

I think I could help you out with some ideas, but I would hate to give conflicting information before your PT has achieved what is needed for exercise.

I did. He was very vague, "Just keep doing what were doing here."

Thought about trying that, but insurance doesn't cover the rest of my PT.

I had ACL with a hamstring graft. As far as what I acheived in PT, I was doing agility drills, jumping, and running in my last few weeks. Not sure if that is considered achievements...

keep doing a lot of the workouts you did in PT if possible, i found a lot of them you don't even need the place you're going to do the workouts. And google different at home workouts you can do, my physical therapist gave me a full sheet with different workouts i can do but it's nothing you can't find online.

He probably doesn't know what he's talking about. Tons of people on this website have ignored doctors and had nothing but good results. Sound like it's time for some pillow lines to me.

If you were doing pt for a while you probably know most of the workouts. If you want to keep working on stuff keep doing them.

If you don't think you're at 100% and ready to go balls out back into everything take things slow.
