What's up my friends? I am coming to you guys for a bit of help...
Back in the day, when I surfed NS on a virus-filled HP notebook, when Jiberish was making monotone velour sweatsuits, when Nelly made "good" music, and when my only worries were "are we going to get a snow day?" and if so, "whose mom is going to take us to the mountain?", NS was known notoriously across the web for its ability to influence online voting.
Although I still regularly return to check out videos and news, my participation on NS has admittedly become much less active. However, I haven't forgotten what this site was capable of, and I'm hoping it still holds true as I now find myself in the midst of an online competition that could result in $10,000 to support a worthy cause.
During my senior year at the University of Vermont, I became one of the co-founders of Art on Board - a community-centric initiative that promotes positivity and youth involvement within the action sports and arts communities. Starting on July 31st, we will be embarking on a national tour that will host stops in New York City, Seattle, Denver, and Burlington. Each stop will feature: an art show with proceeds going to the CHILL Foundation (which gets less-fortunate youth involved in skate, surf, and snow), a live DJ set, food & drinks, live art, and plenty of friends & fun. We hope to showcase the positivity of our community through these events, and help children who haven't been as fortunate as many of us have.
By clicking and sharing the following link, you can help Art on Board kick our tour off with a bang!
Make sure to share it on your Facebooks, Instagrams, Twitters, email lists, and through good old fashion word of mouth!
If NS is able to help Art on Board receive this $10,000, I will put together a special prize pack filled with gear from our sponsors: Burton, ONLY NY, Drink Water, evo, CHILL, and more!!
Appreciate your support everybody, and if you'd like to learn more about our program, check out our site at: http://www.artonboard.co
