Do you think living in colorado makes you cooler?

I think it does. Ive been to alot of states but i think colorado probably takes the cake. Californians would probly like to think they have the coolest state, but all the kids over there are the product of hippies and not as smart as the kids in colorado. They did have arnold as governer tho, he suck, but hes still cool

Not arguing, but NY Has good hiking? Where at? Obviously I realize it's more than just NYC, but I've never heard of good hiking in NY.

The catskills have many a nice/historical hikes, Along with their 3500 club, hiking the 35 peaks above 3500'

The Adirondacks also have some great hikes and their 46 high peaks

This is literally beacause the vast majority of kids in summit county, are the kids that got to move there off mommy and daddy's money to be a lifty from the middle of nowhere Wisconsin or some other weird place (Not to hate on Wisconsin)

Doesn't compare in terms of what? I'd say, on the whole, vt is a much "cooler" state than co. There are of course some "holier-than-thou" sorts in vt, but on the whole it's still much less pretentious than co is.

Yeah I know 3500 feet is nothing. However some of the hikes are ridiculous, and bushwhacking in the Catskills can get gnarly.

The devil's path never goes above 3900 feet but it's considered to be the hardest day hike in the eastern US

Living in Colorado definitely makes you THINK you're cooler. I wish I had a penny for every retard I knew that moved out there "to be near the mountains" and only rides 5-15 days a year now. Yeah bro, way to go. You're TOTALLY core with your CO hat and shit, that's WAY radder than actually skiing.

There is a ton of backcountry. I live in the ADK state park.

Awesome hiking and beautiful remote lakes. You can get lost up here and really get into nature.

Also being 4+ hours from the city really makes it a lot better. NYC is it's own separate entity in a way. I have all kinds of hikes with in close driving distance. Remote rivers to Kayak. Back roads where the closeout house is a half hour away and you might pass 1 car.

No need to jusitfy to the trolls of NS man. From experience I know some of those hikes are challening with amazing views. I'm at 7/35. I'm on the Southern end of the Catskills so I hit up peekamoose and slide area most often. How many have you done? I haven't done any of the ADK peaks but I know they are no easy feat.

And I've never been to CO so i can not coment. I just know that some of you take having legal weed for granted.

high elevation, cold, shitty snowpack, land locked, and half the state is flat. Why would living in Colorado make you any cooler than living in any other western state? I think Nevada might make you cool in a mysterious 'I do things my own way' kind of way.

I'm from vt and currently live here but I own a second home in Durango and lived there for a few years full time after high school and it was awesome. Way better skiing than the east for sure. If you're not spending every day in the mountains there isn't a whole lot to do I found. Seriously you can't even do for a nice drive cause there's only one major road
