Would the Armada ARV Ti be a good ski for me?
I am really considering the new Armada ARV Ti 178 cm. I have just sold my Atomic D2 VF 75 and still have my Sir Francis Bacon 184 cm, which I am considering selling as well, and then buy the Armada ARV Ti. I have had my eyes on the Line Prohphet 90 or 98, but the design on the ARV is so nice... I really like the wide twintip look, so I am not considering buying a new carving ski, although i have considered the Atomic Nomad Ti (81 mm waist). I actually think my SFB skies quite well on piste, and of course off piste...
Is there a big difference between the Prophets and the ARV Ti? A friend has the Prophet 98 as his favorite ski, and he skies mostly on piste.
Would it be completely hopeless to buy them, when I am on piste 90 % of the time?
I am an intermediate driver, who likes to ski fast and do big turns. I am 181 cm (5" 11) tall and weighs around 80 kg (175 lbs).
Oh, and I only ski en the French and Austrian Alpes
honestly I think the ARV looks like a great ski, and they've made it stiffer this year. It will probably rip everything you need it to, and it will get you by in the powder. I can't say for sure, but I would say the ARV is 10/10 would bang.
