I have the number 1 shot ski in the world, so your only solution is to pay for my flight from Switzerland to Montreal because now you know of its existence no other shot ski will do.
Could just be me, but I feel like it might take all of ten minutes to glue shot glasses to a ski? You could literally have done it in the time it took you to make and check this thread.
Apologies.. he is not willing to give it up he has is own partying to do.. but i have a line afterbang that cant be remounted but im coming to if3 late and live in vermont
The problem is you need some fancy glue. Whatever topsheets are on most skis are super impervious to glue most of the time and your shot glasses just fall off.
I think the sign of a fellow Newschooler at IF3 should be the presence of a shotski.
My roommate showed me a cool new method,
You get the tips from crutches or old people walkers (they sell them at drug stores) and then you glue those to the ski.
That way the shots are removable for washing and whatnot.
The key to getting them to stick well is roughing up both surfaces so it bonds better, use a knife to score the topsheet a bunch and it helps a lot.
You can just drill holes all the way through the ski with a bit that is about 80% the width of the shot glass (assuming it's the normal graduated shot glass). Push the shot glass in snugly. It will come out to get cleaned. Watch out though, if people don't know how to shot ski, they're end up dropping a shot glass onto their face.
One of my friends/colleagues was involved in developing this - solves the whole glue/sandpaper/clean-glass issue. The company is called Instant Shot Ski (http://www.instantshotski.com/).
in response to the glue debate - i find plastic shot glasses will glue waaay easier than glass... they just seem to fall off. and using rough sandpaper on the top sheet would work but make it look all shitty around the glass.
And use Link's shotski at IF3 because i helped make that bitch back in highschool yeeaaaaahhhh
