Yeah ski team is the funnest thing I have ever done in my life. When you suck at it, you don't have to take it seriously. Hell my first race I missed the finish line, it was some good times.

Don't even try to say that racing is harder than freestyle. I raced for 5 years, and was pretty good, but taking .05 seconds off my time in the slalom was never as hard as a Switch 5.

I used to race, and loved it. You get to haul fucking ass, and if you've never tried skiing on a pair of 161 slalom skis, you've never skied. I'd like to see someone carve off a kicker on those puppies, you'd need a landing 200 feet wide.

Doobie your comment was unbelieveably stoooopid. I have seen people throw switch 5's in their first year of skiing. I have never, and I mean never, seen someone gate bash like a pro during their first year of skiing, especially in a technical even like slalom.

i learned to ski by joining my high school team when i could hardly ski. after four years i finished in the top ten at state finals. racing is good to teach you how to atually ski, but my true love is for freestyle/freeride

I kinda wish that i did race when i was younger, That way i would know how to ski properly now and i would be much better in the park. My friends all make fun of me because i cant ski well. Then i just go big and they commend me for having balls of steel.

racing can be hard if you take it seriously enough. although, the only people that take it seriuosly enough are the austrians who do nothing but race. freeskiing is harder than racing though because you have to be more stable on your feet as you jump and go down the hill and you have to land big ass jumps (while pulling big ass tricks off of them).

racing takes a lot of skill, and it can be fun, but we're on this site because we like freestyle skiing. There's nothing wrong with racing but there's no need to make an entrance to a freeskiing site by saying our sport is lame.

haha racing is a joke. my buddy raced the ski team for fun and beat everyone no contest. racers are pussies and just go over the same line over and over again. what skill does that take?

i think we can all ski and racing is just skiing. knowing how to carve. but who couldnt carve after a few runs on their skis for the first time?

carving is simple and thats all you need to win. whoop dee dooo daaa
