Dales was crazy. I kinda would have rather seen all the shots when I watched the 4bi9 movie but I guess it's sick to see them early. The edit is easily one of my all time favorites.

I think the main thing was finding a filmer/crew who would dedicate all of their footage to this contest for a very slim chance of winning anything (winner takes all). In dales case, it was worth it to 4bi9 to release most of his footage for a slight chance at $100k but for someone like PBL, l1p or

But for someone like pbp l1p or msp it would be a huge hit to their film and giving up the rights of that footage and/or spilling the beans on the majority of a segment isn't worth the slim chance. I feel like more should have entered but since most fillers are contracted by ski companies and the filmers don't own their footage technically so it didn't work out.

Also im sure no one from real snow could use their footage since it was already published.

Also tom didn't enter cause that would just completely ruin his film project, not worth it all to him.

That would be sick if there were more, but im having my doubts. TGR didn't really market this contest at all this season and for reasons i listed in my other post, i dont think were gonna see a ton of "pros". TGR tried to pull the big timers with $100k but that didnt seem to work

holy fuck dales entry was so sick, skiing was unreal and the filming was so mint. The vibe Aj produced with that was amazing, colors looked great and the sound design was perfect. That made me so stoked for the 4bi9 film damn

Apparently Ms. Elyse Saugstad's edit isn't working yet, but when it does, please watch. she ups the women's big mountain game in serious fashion.

lol TGR really didnt market this thing at all, and while some edits are super sick, many are comparable to the free material on newschoolers and would not make it in standard pro full length movies

I hope TGR is able to learn from thier mistakes and put on a better comp.

I havnt read how the contest will be judged, but I dont think Dale/4bi9 can win due to the nature of TGR and how they are predominately backcountry oriented. But they definatly did a really sick job all together.

EHV is pretty on point I think. I really dont think level 1 or poorboyz would spoil a seg just for a chance of winning - really no guarantees for anyone, and also helping their direct competition in the process.

if that's all the videos, dale wins hands down. his production quality/skiing balance was far and above everyone else. i'm pretty bummed that sage is one of the best skiers on earth and hardly showcased any of his skiing. mcnutt is a close second, there were some fucking gnarly shots in that edit.

hahah yeah thats what i was thinking. Sage's could've been so much better.

From what I've seen, Mcnutt's and dale's are the best. Tough to decide between complete opposites though. Mcnutt's lines were incredible and Dale's urban game was gnarly. I say they split they both win and split the cash.

Dale's edit is probably the best he's ever put together. If he doesn't win I'll be outraged. And releasing what it sounds like as the majority of his footage from the year is a bold move too. Can't wait to see his 4bi9 segment!

when you think about it, releasing his footage early really doesn't hurt anyone. Nobody buys the 4bi9 movies just to see Dale, they buy them to see the whole crew. 4bi9 get's a shot at 100g's AND they get people stoked on the new movie by entering in this contest.

You've obviously never hit any sort of urban feature in your life then. I can understand if people don't comprehend the insanity of some of his shots, because most of you are park skiers that just watch the big movies every year and unless someone does something better than you've ever seen, its not impressive. Not sure if you blinked at the 60ft cork 9 to sw 180 off the roof...
