So I just found this video of this kid misty 3-ing and dub misty 7-ing. Anyone know how to do it?

I know a kid who landed a misty 3 on skis. He was trying for 5 and it just came around. I think he has it on film.

I don't want this to be a classic trampoline flip shitstorm, but I do agree that was more of a bio 3... just jump and land on one shoulder a couple times to get the feel of the throw (kind of a crooked frontflip rotation), then do it with more air and tuck. It will probably end up being a 540 first, it's just more natural.

not gonna be a shitstorm because theres no such thing as a misty 3. by definition it has to be a front flip with a spin. that was neither. it was cool but theres just no such thing as a misty 3

Frontflip version of a wackflip, I cant describe it I just kind of tuck forward and to the side a bit when I do them.

they arent that hard, just super awkward. when i do them, I spot something in front of me like the tramp pole and that helps bring it around.

isn't a misty 7 whats refered to in gym and aerials as a "FULL'

ie  throw down 360 flip with the  "   |   "  axis

Yeah same, I tried a shifty where you spin legs to 5 but at the last second spin back to 3. Too much effort to make it look good.

I can do those on a tramp and I've tried a bunch on skis but can never quite seems to stick it. here a couple examples. starting at 4:20 i try like four of them.

anyone else slightly bothered that he didnt take those to 5 and 9? I felt like the rotation would have been way more natural at 5 and 9

Completely this. Similar to the vid of the dude throwing a cork 5 but forcing the last 180 to not come around so he essentially lands the trick before the rotation is completed. In said video yes it's corked, yes he spun 3, but no, it is not the trick that is known as a "cork 3".

Also my snowboarding friend claims that the nomenclature of misties/rodeos is different between snowboarding and skiing. He believes that the flip counts towards the rotation count for some reason, so a snowboarders rodeo 5 is a backfliped 180, and that is just stupid.

yea i just call em forward flats. they're pretty easy though. just set it a little more flippy, and stop yourself from spinning

Dammit people, ever heard of a flatspin/rodeo 3? It's the same thing but thrown forward. A misty is the front equivalent of a rodeo, so yes you could call it a "misty 3" or a front thrown flat 3. However it is a bit more bioish than misty.
