One more weekend at my mountain due to forest service agreements, and two more at big sky. Will definitely be doing some hiking while the snow sticks around and the lifts shut down though!
tomorrow, even though my hill could easily stay open until sunday if it wasnt for that 10% chance of rain. but yeah im getting ready for hibernation until june.
my home mt titcomb closed a few weeks ago because they cant afford to run the lift if people dont come, well that is people that dont have season passes. so we hiked on easter skip church go skiing. was a great day
in lower ny the snow is gone so this spring brings fly fishing of course, also will get some time conventional fishing as well... camping and hiking. My friends and i already did two peaks and have 33 more to go to get all 35 catskill peaks..
Taos closes this weekend, so does wolf creek. It sucks because most years (probably this year too) Taos could easily be open til may. wolf creek usually is fully covered until early june. Although when wolf creek gets some good storms in april and may they usually re-open.
I longboard/skate and generally just hang around.. Maybe go do flips off diving boards but thats it. My hill closed march 31. Coulda stayed open till today easily though... Had record amount of snowfall in regina (saskatchewan) just about 6ft
I try to stay away from NS and all ski related places/videos this time of year... it makes me too sad to see people logging banger spring days while my season is far over :(
