If you're in school really focus on that. I recently broke my foot and am having to deal with the same reality of temporarily finding other things to do. But now I have all the time in the world for school whereas I'd completely blow off school when I could ski all the time.
Try to spend your time in productive ways, it's really easy to end up sitting around. Work out whatever you can on your bad leg (without further injuring it, obviously) so that PT won't be as grueling when you start. And you'll atrophy less.
