Dads and park

Okay so i was recently skiing with my dad and I was getting kinda of bored so I ask if he mind going through the park. So i told him just to stay to side and dont get into peoples way. So anyway while im going down I see him going towards a jump and i was thinking to myself crap hes gonna hurt himself. but he ends up hucking a 3 (which he calls helicopters) and lands it perfectly. HAHAHA i learned today that my 51 year old dad can still ski likes hes 20. Has anyone else experienced something like this??

My pops tried a box once, doub ejected and slid down the mtn on his face haha.

But I ride a lot with one of my homies and his dad who RIPS! Dude is like 55, snowboards and rips clean 3s+5s with tweaked grabs. The dude is one of the craziest surfers I know too. A few years back he made the front page of the boston Globe towing into 25 ft + hurricane swells off the coast of newport RI.

sadly my dad doesn't ski much anymore but he does ski well but not hucking! Hea too chicken to do it or mess his skis up.

My dad is the reason I'm out here in Utah. We moved three years ago, and frankly, he rips better than I can in the bumps. He won't hit park, but everything else is fair game. Seeing your old man send a cliff into powder is a great experience.

My Dad still comes to the freeski camps with me in europe! My bro my dad and I. He's legend of the british freeskiing game! Throwing 3's down pretty good, and will RIP UP the piste and bumps no doubt he shreds as hard as me. hero.

my mom followed me into the park. she ended up going on top of one side the 22 foot pipe. then she some how cought an edge and feel all the way down the tranny and broke her shoulder.

How do you guys convince your dads to ski pow? My dad has been going out west for the past 5 years with a few of his friends, but they NEVER hit the pow, whereas I dream of the day I have enough money go out west and ski some pow. I don't care if my dad gets into pow or not, I just want him to try and see if he likes it, to show him that he can have more fun than skiing west coast groomers lol.

My dad shreds on teles. He's one of the best if not THE best all-around skier I know. He used to throw front/backflips and "helicopters" all of the time and just told me he wants to do at least one more of each before he turns 50 (he's 48).

He can flip off of bridges like no other though. His full arsenal is;

I was in the park the other day with my 2yr old and my 6yr old nephew. Was throwing some butter 3's off the baby kicker for fun. Wasn't trying to huck because neither of them were ready to do more then roll off and I didn't want to push them. Can't wait to show off when they get older, but my 35yr old knees aren't what they used to be and sacking up in the park is a lot more high consequence/scary then it used to be...

I'm a 46 year old dad and coach. I still love the park. I try to learn something new everyday. Doesn't always happen, but that is the plan. I look forward to the day I can post my first stuck cork 7.

my dad goes onto a flat box sideways and he slips backwards at the end and his ski gets stuck under the Vinyl(or whatever the sliding shit is) while hes going forward. I got completely mid fucked beause how did it get stuck in there between the metal and the plastic about a foot it???

last year the one and only day i convinced my pops to demo twin tips he watched me do a butter 3 off a roller then unexpectedly stomped the shit out of a butter 3 first try right next to me and rides away and says, "STILL GOT IT MOTHER FUCKER!" one of the biggest boss moments i've ever witnessed of my father hahahah

so i was in the park with my dad, he's never tried anything in the park before besides just going straight air off little kickers, and he decides to try and hit a really skinny box. so he just goes for it, slips out, eats shit really bad and one of his skis comes off, and some douche goes "hahaha don't do that". hasn't been in the park since.

My dad rips pretty hard. He doesn't love the park. But still enjoys going through occasionally. I get him to hit some of the smaller jumps and he loves getting air. What he really loves is the pipe. He gets like 4 feet out and can alley oop both walls. He absolutely loves it! Ha he really is just stoked on skiing. The park/pipe wasn't around when he as young, so he sees it as a new thing to learn.

My dad taught me my first 3. He doesn't ride park anymore but rips moguls when he gets the chance. He was into the freestyle scene when he was my age. Now I know where I got it from!
