Lying to girls about being on a sports team for the sake of sex?

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm a freshman in college and I'm facing a dilemma. I'm not bad with girls, but I wouldn't go as far as calling myself a ladies man. (I would say that the average girl I hook up with on a weekend is in the B or B+ range depending on how much I have had to drink and where I end up for the night). However, I can't say that I have ever had sex with an absolute A+ smoke show kind of girl.

Given the context, here is my story. A couple weekends ago I was at a party at the "Lacrosse House" at my school, and I was having a good night. I go up to one of the hottest brunette girls I've ever seen and ask her to dance. She says yes, and as we are dancing she asks if I'm on the lacrosse team (I played in high school and she is not the first person to mistake me for someone who plays in college, but alas I am not good enough to do so). Anyways, I told her the truth, and she pretty much immediately lost interest. I can't remember exactly how the conversation which followed went, but it was something close to the classic "Oh, I need to go find my friends" kind of excuse. We danced for maybe another minute or two after that and then I never saw her again.

Anyways, If you were too lazy to read the story, Here is the focus of this thread. Is it a good or bad idea to lie to a girl who you don't know and will probably never see again about this kind of thing? Have you ever been in a situation like this?

I don't need help with my lying, I'm perfectly good at it. I just don't like doing it unless it's to a girl who is acting as equally shallow as I am in a given situation where I would feel the need to.

2 summers ago i was at a bachelor party in Tahoe during the pro-am golf tourney. I said i was Emmit Smiths caddie the entire time. Lying is a fucking blast. Most of the time girls know your full of shit but they go along with it because its all fun and they want the same thing we want. Whores

But I think OP's situation is not about personality but about girls being too dumb to care about personality if you arn't a sports stud.

But at a Lax party, you probably don't want to lie about being on the team then she knows other people on the team and not only are you the liar who isn't getting with the girl, but your the liar who needs to find another party

if you lie to get one hook up then you can kiss the next 4 years of hook ups good bye. You sound like a piece of shit anyway though, so go for it.

If you want a good looking girl and a girlfriend (in the same person) then ditch the act, find a girl who has mutual interests, become friends and see where that leads. If you need to lie to a lady then you wont enjoy being with them outside of sex since everything will be based on lies and looks.

id lie if i were you, its a one time thing. But in a situation where you lie to a chick in order to rearrange her insides, you definitely need to play it safe. cant be doing it with anyone where it may be coming back to you. Doing it at your own school is kinda dangerous, even though UVM is a large school.

I think you would be walking on tricky ground gettin that done at "lax house"
