Line afterbang vs stepup

So its finally come time to get some new skis, and after some research it boiled down to these two.

Im 5'10 , 155lb, and both skis are 184's. Its my first season skiing park so im just getting into bigger jumps and jibs, but when theres fresh snow im still gonna be dropping cliffs on these. I know thats not ideal, but what ski will i have better chances with? Thanks ahead

nether i would get the chronics! it is the perfect ski for what your looking for.. but put of the 2 skis i would get the setup a lot more stable because its a lot more stiff then the afterbangs

The Step Up and the Afterbang are both park/jib specific skis. if you want a ski that can handle a bit of all mountain to but is still sub 100 underfoot from line, I would reccomend the new chronic with rocker. It will suit all mountain needs a lot better than either the step up or Afterbang, whilst still being a really good park tool.

I haven't spent enough time on the new Chronics to give you a full review and a more detailed account of how they ski. But all the comments coming back from people who have spent a good amount of time on them is positive. There will be some users on here who should be able to provide you with a solid review.

The chronic seems like a solid ski, but im on limited cash flow right now and these came up for a crazy deal with bindings. Next season ill be looking at powder skis but until then i want a park ski that wont be wasteful in fresh snow. Regaurdless thanks for the replys!

Also i was leaning to the stepup with the thought of stability, but the afterbang seems like it would be a fun ski aswell

Go stepups, it has a "racebase" which holds wax better than the a bangs and is faster. They will also flex out, so they are good for butters and they have a great pop.
I had some extra cash so i got the chronics, and i like em better. But if i didnt have that extra, i wud def get another pair of step ups.

What skis are you riding now and where do you ski? If powder and "dropping cliffs" are a big part of your skiing then there are probably better choices than the stepups (I have this year's stepups) if it's gonna be your only ski.
