I'm pretty excited to see what RIM has up their sleeves! I'm expecting it to be a very cool operating system.
It can definitively rival both iOS and Android, or most probably even surpass them.

i meant pants pocket, that phone is bigger than any other phone on the market, i saw the videos. my car-proof motorola was smaller than that. it might fit in my pocket, but so will a brick if i try hard enough. no cover for the screen, but yeah it's tough so i doubt it will break or scratch, doesn't matter in that phones case. 3g is a service not a function, none of the product stuff i can find online shows that it even has a browser. again, i'll recommend it to my welder buddy, but the phone i want hasn't been invented yet.

dunno why you're still arguing, you intentionally forgot a comparison photo there because you know it would make me look like i have a boner (i don't put bigass candybars in my pockets either). 10 years ago, my v360 had everything i want except Google, and was smaller than that. i already said i would recommend it to my friend (wears coveralls to work, giant phone does not matter), why aren't you happy yet? i don't want an indestructible phone anyways, just one that doesn't break (everything except a BB or iPhone).

After getting my hands on a co-workers Z10 I can say that I do like it. It's bigger than the Iphone, surprisingly light, super fast, and typing is great as well. The only real issue that I had with it was the lack of a home/go back button, but I'm sure that with use that will quickly change. Overall It's a good phone and the improvement that Blackberry needed. I might pick one up in a few weeks once the honeymoon stage is over and people really start to realize how good/bad the phone really is, first impressions are good though.

The article is comparing reviews of a phone that came out days ago, to that of phones that came out months ago. Of course the reviews are going to be good, the only people buying the phone right now are BlackBerry dick-riders like you and iOS haters.

When regular people start buying this phone then come back and make claims.

Not at all.. iOS is what, 5 years old? People get tired of using the same OS. It has nothing to do with dick-riders and iOS haters.
I have a two year old BlackBerry.. I dont NEED a new phone. I'm therefore not a dick-rider.

I didn't say anything about my preferences, only those of the people reviewing the z10. The people that bought this phone on launch ARE BlackBerry fanboys so of course they're going to validate their purchase by reviewing it highly. These people do not make up the majority of smartphone sales though and therefore don't dictate which smartphone is best.

Give it a year for more casual smartphone users to finish their contracts and decide to give BB 10 a try and then check that rating again and I assure you it will be much lower.

Smartphones are a very personal thing, and if you love this handset and it works great for you that's awesome, but you don't have the evidence or numbers yet to prove anything but your own opinion on this matter.

all of those screenies are from canadian wireless companies. CNET and LaptopMag rated it a 3.5/5, with the S3 and iPhone 5 both at or a bit above a 4/5, PC World rated the z10 at a 3.5/5 with the s3 and 5 both at 4.5/5. also, some of the sample sizes they are using are too small to conclude that the z10 is "crushing iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3".

They make money for almost every business...


for example, one of my good friends runs his own company. Without his smart phone, his business would be months behind where it is because he wouldn't be able to do anything while away from home.


Even my job, in order to sign up for extra shifts or things like that, it's all done via email as first come first serve. No smart phone with email would mean that unless I sat by my computer refreshing my email all day, I wouldn't work too many extra shifts, which would mean I lost out on thousands of dollars worth of income.


Also, your articles are 2 years old, and the law regarding conflict minerals was passed....2 years ago.

I agree to some extent on this. It bothers the hell out of me when I see people who insist on checking their facebook via phone anytime they have more than 2 free seconds.

I feel ya.
I liked the sliding keyboard ones the best. broke mine like 3 weeks ago and went to the store to get a new one and the only keyboard phones they had were blackberries so I had to get an android. I fucking hate touchscreens. it takes me 3 times longer to type stuff and half the time it looks like I'm wasted.

no idea why every phone company is hell bent on eliminating keyboards.

if other companies were smart they'd realize the only reason they still manage to sell phones is because of features that set them apart from iphones, like buttons.
