Good cheap college close to good skiing

any advice on a good college near good skiing thats easy to get into and has low tuiton like lyndon state in vermont

Montana/Montana State? (they love to give scholarships) but really if all you are looking for in a college is skiing then save yourself some money and go to a community college for the first two years.

It's pretty good from what I understand. If you are looking for a good college though unr is the best one in the Tahoe area and has basically a 100% acceptance rate

UBC Okanagan campus is in Kewlona British Colombia... theres a couple local hills real close and i think Revelstoke is about hour and half or two hours away... I think its pretty hard to get into if you are from the US though

Just come to UBC Van. Whistler is way better than Big White and Revy. And Revy isn't really a viable option from UBCO.

If you still feel like you need to ski, go be a ski bum for a couple of years. Once you inevitably get tired of that life, go to a good college that isn't near a ski area. Thats my plan anyway.

University of Utah is such a no-brainer it's absurd. Super easy to get in state tuition after your first year, cheap overall, lots of good options ranging from legit engineering programs to absurdly easy and outdoor/rec majors. And so close to so much skiing.

this^. just moved out here last summer from and i am going to the U now. Best decision I have ever made. I literally just got back from skiing at the canyons. Tuesday/Thursday classes FTW.

Sierra Nevada is fucking expensive. And is full of a bunch of liberal hippies. I go to unr and its dope. Mt rose is the cheapest and closest place in tahoe, 200 pass and like half an hour away, and all the other tahoe resorts are like less than an hour and a half away from campus

What do you consider good skiing? I go to University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George BC. I ski Powder King every Thursday and it is rare to not have knee deep + pow. Oh and tuition is pretty reasonable, not sure on US citizens though...

Wanted to go there so badly. Got accepted but still couldn't afford the out of state tuition and room and board.. And they weren't giving me any scholarships..

Any Utah school is where you want to be. Period.

That being said, if looking at cheapness factor they rank from least expensive to most expensive like this:

1. Weber State University (Ogden, UT)
2. U of U, SLC
3. Westminster, SLC

Westminster is private so the notion of "cheap" here is a little absurd to even consider, even for a Utah school.

The U is the next and IMO the most logical choice. Great school. great location and pretty cheap.

Weber is bar far the cheapest, I went here and then transferred and didn't pay shit, but you would be in Ogden 30 mi. north of SLC. Snowbasin is 25 min away but all the others are closer to an hr. Also, Weber is mostly a commuter school with lots of older people who go back to finish degrees and not much of a college experience, hence why I transferred.

I go to the U of Montana. Missoula is sweet but the skiing isn't amazing, although it is pretty good. I would recommend it. Montana State has better skiing.

Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. It's 30 minutes from Crested Butte, the 2nd least expensive university in Colorado and has one of the nation's only collegiate freeride ski teams. Check out the Mountain Sports Team's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/WSCUMountainSports

Right now im pretty much down to U of U and University of Washington. I was worried about getting to resorts without a car at washington though??? Also i have good grades (4.57 weighted gpa no act but forecasted over 30 from a pretest) Any advice??

Also at my local resort (south wisco) they have a huge ad for sierra nevada.
