ARMADA AR7 Setup -5 or -2.5

Hi guys!

Some days ago i bought my first pair of freestyle ski's since i was tired of always getting those crappy rental twin tips. I bought the ARMADA AR7 with an original graphic, and the Tanner hall Peak bindings.
They asked me where to place the bindings and i've chosen for the -5 (recommended) setup but i like how it looks when my bindings are in the middle so it gets more an actual freestyle ski.

I would like to know what the difference is between the -5 setup and the -2.5 setup... and if possible, how hard is it to replace them to the other setup?

Should have mounted them center..but no big deal. Call your local shop for a clear answer.

AR7s are not symmetrical. Why would you mount it center on a non-symmetrical ski?

OP AR7s are recommended is between -2.5 and -5 . I have AR7s and mounted them at -2.5. I use them alot in the park as well all around the mountain.
It comes down to prefence or what you plan to use your skis for. If your gonna use for everything on the hill proably -3 or -4 would be the choice. -5 might feel backseast but will be better in deep snow. All depends on what you want oout of your ski.

ummm i hope you know about more than half this website center mounts non-symmetrical skis

I center mounted my el reys (this years) and they had no prob in 14in of fresh. i would go center. last year i had skis 2.5 back and my ski this year feels no different at center.

hey man, i have ar6's and they are not symmetrical either. it does not matter at all. all center mounting does is take away the sidecut of the ski. it will still ski perfectly fine. i have my skis dead center and would not go back to -2.5. i love them center mounted. they still ski great outside of the park. no wobble at all. i would recommend that you get them centered. you will not regret it. pm me with any questions

You either didn't have 14in of fresh of are lying...


As far as the O.P. the skis will preform better in the park and going backwards the closer your bindings are mounted to center, but the trade off is loosing forward facing carving power. So if you are planning on skiing a lot of park get your bindings remounted farther forward (not necessarily -2.5), but if you just plan on cruising around on them and not skiing lots of park -5 would be fine

My jibs are not symmetrical (114 tip 110 tail) and they are mounted center. Kill it in the park and I can still rip it up all over the mountain.

Also to 50kal, ar7s are a very park oriented all mountain ski, he did not buy a pow ski. -5 is way to far back imo
