I've been all around metal since i started high school, been through metalcore phases but prefer prog/death at the moment. And nothing is better than some good old folk metal.

A mate who I used to work/smoke with is in a band called Death Audio who're gaining some decent rep in aus, just released their first album but have been playing gigs for years.

IT seems that you are talking about metal music, iam talking about hardcore and metalcore which in a major pourcentage of the bands only positive lyrics/attitude.

(all these sound like what you just heard KINDA but are super positivve bands)

I feel like you'd have to go to one of these shows to really get it, hardcore shows are probably dope. So much energy in the music. Hopefully Mick D's foray into the music industry is more successful than some other skiers...

Not really... Dream Theater actually predates Burzum by a few years, and Dream Theater and Opeth are both more on the prog metal side of things, as opposed to the whole 'Norweigan Black Metal' thing. None of these bands people are comparing have anything to do with each other, but they are all very good at what they do. Just because Burzum burned down churches and killed each other doesn't make them the be-all-end-all metal group.

btbam is just dream theater all jacked up to 11. their vocalists have such similar singing voices it's crazy.
I'm a fan of both but I like btbam better.

Though Burzum's new stuff..you know the stuff since Vikernes has gotten out of prison is really weird and not metal at all. It's like dark ambient weird faggy Norwegian shit. His blog's also ridiculous, he hates everything. It's worth a read.

Hahaha well played sir. That whole band is so damn talented. I would be fine without ever hearing their vocalist again though.

I don't listen to much metal, just downloaded the two albums he did in prison though. I like ambient so that sounds right up my alley. I'll have to take a look at his blog, he definitely has a... unique perspective on a lot of things.

i wasn't talking about any pussy, hair chest, vagina, penis or any other kind of reproductive organ. I was just giving an opinion about how all those bands have an extremly postive approach to their music and what message they are trying to pass around, since people think that because it's violent music we all nail dead crows on our neighbors door and worship baphomet.

Seems like alot of wisdom here ;)

oh btw iam 30yrs old and still don't have any chest nor facial hair, i have some on my balls and pelvis though, since you seem the be the anatomy type dood... √
