Keep in mind that the 132mm wide Hellbents (ClownBent and HillbillyBent) measure closer to actual length. The older ones are longer, as mentioned.
I've had 2 pairs of 179's (122mm and 132mm) and 1 pair of 189's (132mm). The 189, while a big, heavy bastard when you're playing around, is a way better all-round ski. The extra 10cm of running length makes a decent difference but the major thing is that underfoot the 189 is way burlier than the 179 so it makes the ski a lot more stable. Mount them fairly far forward and then you have to get on top of the ski and drive the damn thing. You can just sit back and surf them around but if you go more than a little bit fast they'll buck and chatter like a bastard unless you ski them hard.
