Need Help/Tips: Urban 270s onto rails

Before I say anything, yes I've searched this, yes I know there's other threads, but I feel like I really am only going to be able to commit if I have specific advice.

So last season I really progressed my rail skiing and was doing solid 270s onto boxes and from the middle on flat rails. This year though I feel like it's really time to nail them down for good and start bringing them to down rails.

The hardest part about the trick is that I can't visualize myself doing the trick. I feel really unsure about what to do with my legs when I'm popping to spin. How much do I pull them up? What angle should I approach from? How do i prevent slipping out? These are my initial concerns and any help would be appreciated here.

try a couple normal try and them pop a 270 but bend your legs up so your tips don`t catch into the rail

you're really just overthinking it. you'll do it and think back to this and think how much you overthought it. Just nut up and do it, its not that different from from reg 270's on. but i guess keep a wide stance and don't lean uphill. and COMMIT

come up to the rail with just a bit more speed then normal, pop nice and hard up, before rotating, and then as you rotate lift your tips a bit up over the rail. catch the rail with a wide stance and slightly scissor your leading foot. spot the end of the rail and then slide it to the end and stomp. you got it.

Try it, and then you'll start to get a feel for it. You're gonna wanna pop, then wait for a moment before spinning so your tips can clear the rail. For things like angle of attack and carve, you just kinda have to figure it out as you go. Adjust as needed. Oh and remember to pick up your eyes when you land.

Start doing 180s over the rail. Do a few get comfortable. From there it's only a 90 degree turn

practice onto the edge of a carpet or a stair. youre first move is to pop and lift up your toes, and concentrating on getting ur tips over the rail. from there, all you need to do is a 180, then after you do thhe 180, twist your legs around another 90 and your body will follow.

pretty much this. Just did my first 270 onto an urban style down feature today (got it on film) and I just sent it. Wasn't bad at all in fact it was much easier than I had thought. (some DMX had just come on pandora which was prime)

The hardest part for me is landing leaning back then slipping out, so make sure you dont land with all your weight on your back foot

I just got consistent with them a couple nights ago. Commitment was my biggest problem. When I popped on I'd stop my rotation at 180 because I couldn't get my head around. This is what helped me:
- Do a 360 next to the rail to practice following through with your head to lock the rotation
- Pop before you spin! Say it to yourself over and over then take it to the rail. Keep your knees bent and shoulder witch apart.
- If you're doing it at home, try keeping the rail low to the lip of your jump to start. That way it's not so intimidating. Raise it up as you feel more comfortable with the trick until it's truly an urban feature
- Bring your head around. That's the biggest issue for many I think. Commit and bring it around then you'll get the lock.

practice on a very low urban style take off, or use a normal take off but spin on from one side of the rail.

I would say to approach at a little bit of a wider angle and to pop more obviously. Make sure you press your toes down to keep your tails from hitting the rail. If you set it right, you will land on the rail perfectly.

At 1:47 is how I visualize 270 onto an urban style downrail, I've only tried one but got really close to stomping my first time
