True, i have done both (not just tried windsurfing once, was pretty good) but completely switched to kiting. Theres a lot more variety in what you can do with kiting and not be pro status like you have to be to do the crazy stuff in windsurfing. just my opinion
All I can say is a lot more tourists including children and elderlies windsurfing. I haven't done either but I've stopped in every shop in hood river and watched people from my deck all day. Awesome sports I wanna kite for my skis!
hahaha, using a 6 or 7 is considered a windy day, my biggest sail is a 5.3 and I hate using it. but I live in a spot that regularly get's lots of wind so yay me. also you may want reconsider the windsurfing is more like surfing comment, you can't get barreled windsurfing.
Wait is this thread about kitesurfing or windsurfing. I usually windsurf about once a year, it is very fun but it tires you out after a while, especially if you drop the sail often (which I do). Kitesurfing looks super fun, I've never tried it though.

for all you hoes bitching, stop because not many people understand nor care. Both are completely different, one may be more fun, or looks cooler to either, but in the end they are both very different. I have tried both, not that anyone would care once again, be quite. Nobody cares that you think kite or wind is better, you are making a pointless argument, both are fun and everyone has their own opinion. Leave it at that.
haha, I didn't know you were talking kite sizes. My norm is my 8, slingshot rally's are the shit, I get such great range with mine. Although I put in a fair amount of time on my 12 too but usually when he wind is below 20
I don't scream like a 12 year old girl when I ski park, so obviously powder is better.
