Probably to make a fucking map, like on Halo 3?
Or to just pile up explosives and launch massive vehicles. Like the elephant in sand trap in halo 3.

The maps seem pretty small and there isn't much room to build things. On reach you could just get carried away with forge on forge world, but now there's only so much you can build
