Yes, I do know that. Its completely different from what I am saying. I am not talking about doing anything to systematically harm mentally and physically handicapped people. I am talking about convicted criminals and guys like the one yesterday who murdered 20 children. I never said that "handicapped people of some sort should get extinguished in a very disturbing way" I said that convicted criminals (criminals who we KNOW are guilty) who are obviously mentally ill (such as pedophiles who rape, torture and murder children, that man from Connecticut, criminals like Paul Bernardo) should be the recipients of capital punishment. Where I differ from the OP is that it shouldn't be painful, it should be a painless euthanasia, no torture involved. Because I believe that capital punishment should focus more on protecting society and saving taxpayer dollars, which is why we euthanize animals who deemed too vicious because they are a threat to society, can never be rehabilitated, and are pointless to keep alive and rot in a cage for eternity.
I have read "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and "The Birth of Tragedy' and "The Gay Science." I agree 100% that Nietzsche was abused by Hitler and his Nazi Party. What I was trying to emphasize was that with my post I wasn't supporting the eradication of mentally ill people to help create the "Superman" (Ubermensch) race. Because some thinkers attribute the philosophy of Nietzsche to Hitler ideology and that he DID use Nietzsche's philosophy as a scapegoat to push his own sick ideology I mentioned him in my previous post.
I don't claim to understand Nietzsche. Never did.
And in my first post I explained that what I was about to say was my OWN opinion on capital punishment. I wanted to emphasize that I differed from OP because I didn't believe in torture of criminals. I know what I have said will never be implemented for a billion reasons, all of which are 100% legitimate. Things such as fair trials, wrongful convictions, and the sheer price of capital trials ensure that it would never happen. And I understand and agree with this, I was just looking at capital punishment from a different perspective.
