Spk 90 shin starts hurting? Help!

While skiing today my shins were killin me are my boots on too tight? I have the spk 90 they fit perfect but my shins were in pain .... Should I adjust the back calf support lower or what any help is appreciated thanks

Walked around a good bit but I've never had this problem before maybe it was just too tight I'm not sure

shin bang is the hardest thing to get rid of. I'm not a fan of the boot, I think it fits like shit, I had one last year and I had the same problem. try keeping the boot a bit looser I guess, you don't have many more options. You could always take it to your local shop and have them work on them. you can grind the tongue a little, that helps a little but in my personal experience it doesn't go away.

Fulltilts don't get rid of shin bang, a well fitting boot will. Some people are stupid.

had a bruised shin on every boot, but fulltilt. even though they are a tad too tight in the bottom they are by FAR the most comfy boots i ever put to my feet.

even though its what everyone says full tilts got rid of mine. which is annoying becuaes thats all people say in response to shin bang but i had some serious shin bang with my dalbellos which fit well and switched over to full tilts and it went away. not saying its just the boot but they are by far the best boot i have ever had

inb4 hotdogger, no it depends on your foot. The SPK is a love bucket, every full tilt will fit differently. GO TO A BOOT FITTER

do not loosen the tongue of your boot

tighten that shit down, sew foam into the tongue, and crank them down until you can barely feel your feet

Very seldom see a non FT boot in the park these days. Kinda funny. My foot is wider than a FT shell, so def not for me.

Ok, ill try to help you here, seeing how there is so much bad advice here.

What did you have done when you had the boots fitted?

Have you had them heat molded?

Did you buy a footbed?

How much room is there above your instep in just the shell?

How tight are you doing your boots?

about an inch or so its pretty snug

as tight as i could i didnt want to be getting pulled out of the bootlike when i had them loosened

To be honest they sound too big for you. If your needing to do them really tight to stop it from feeling like your foot is coming out of the boot, then thats a good indicator that the boot is too big for you.

It's that fact which is more then lickly the reason your getting shinbang.

Did you actually have the boots fitted in a shop?

Your best bet is take them to a shop and see what the fitter there thinks of the fit. Get them heat molded, but be prepared to pay if you did not buy them there. Also a custom footbed is a good idea, but see if the fitter thinks its worth working on the boot or weather you should start again.

They might be too big for you. I have last years spk 90 and the tongues are super comfy. I have only skied one day but i didn't have any hint of shinbang. Get them heat molded and that might help a little bit.
