Its not even thanksgiving yet, and I've already been bitched out MULTIPLE TIMES by some fucking high-horse vegans who don't approve of my holiday traditions. Well guess what? I know that I'm supporting a non-sustainable industry, I know its not nice to kill animals, I know that vegetables are healthy, but guess what else? I don't give a fuck because my turkey tastes fucking delicious. And your soy based gravy and Tofurkey both make eating dinner remind me of life in a Vietnamese POW camp, not how much I love Indians. And if I invite you to my house for dinner, and I give up watching football to make dinner for your sorry ass because your family hates you and wont let you come home for the holidays,and you show up with your own personal soy turkey because you think you're too goddamn good for my barbaric meat-thrashing, then you can eat it right out of the dog bowl. I'm sure Buck would love to share with you.

I don't care if you get off on saving the world by not eating meat. In fact, I appreciate it because in the long run you're doing me a favor, and it means there's more for me. But please for the love of eating like a human rather than a bird, keep it in your own home, and don't bring it into mine.

Most vegans and vegetarians I know are super self righteous about not eating meat, and always try to tell you that you are a horrible person for eating meat. Does it make them healthy, no they are all lacking protein because they can't make up for it with their diet of lettuce and broccoli. I suppose if you got your protein in other ways it could be beneficial, but this is rarely done. Eating meat is a natural function of humans and lots of other animals, and it is ridicules to ignore it.

That pre-ground meat is exactly that, pre-ground meat. It may have more fat than you're used to but it's no different than a steak - it comes from the same steer/bull/cow at the same time as a steak. In fact, most processors manufacture ground beef on the spot and sell it to grocers while they sell their larger cuts to other companies who then produce steaks to be sold to grocers. In effect, the 'pre-ground' meat may be fresher than the steak - convincing yourself differently is a common misconception. Hot dogs on the other hand... stay away from those.

I'm thinking about going from vegetarian to pescetarian. I'm running a relatively high protein diet. I don't have issues getting my protein in, I just want to get different types of protein in my diet.

How is it working for ya?

I haven't had any issues and I've been doing it for over 2 years now. Still get my protein from nuts, eggs, and fish. Watch your diet and make sure you're always getting the right supplements. If you have to start taking suppliment pills, you probably aren't doing it right.

There's no way I can reply to each individual post to argue so I will try to cover it in one...

First of all, I will never tell someone what they should do. If you don't want to be vegan or vegetarian, it's not what you should do. If you were on the fence and wanted my advice, of course I would tell you to be vegetarian or vegan because as a choice I have made for myself, I believe it's right. I think one of the reasons people hear these people talking so much about their dietary choices is because it's a contrary opinion that they believe in.

Eating meat is natural. However eating the amount and the kind that we do isn't. Thinking historically back from an evolutionary standpoint, no way primates ate things bigger than insects and maybe small animals. Drinking milk is 7000% not natural, and the food guide misrepresents how much we need in our diet. You do need B12 which is in milk, but is also in other things. I believe that we do so many other things that are considered unnatural that are bad for the earth that if I can do one unnatural thing that's good for it, so what?

I think it was nice for your friend to provide their own meal because they wouldn't have been able to eat yours otherwise? Unless I am confused and you already had an option for them. Hosting someone and providing for their needs is just what you do..

To those who want to support the meat industry I don't really know what to say... I still eat as much food as you, I just support a different industry and I don't see your argument.

I am not vegetarian for animal rights reasons, mainly environmental ones. As someone said before with the shortage of land space for agriculture, growing plants is something like 7 times more effective.

Feel free to quote any of these and we can talk about stuff yeah!!

Nothing pisses me off more than vegetarians. Especially the ones who eat fish. There fucking ignorant and stupid and so hypocritical.

That being said, i respect vegans for actually committing to a full vegetarian diet. It's there choice who cares what thy do. At least they live by what they preach, unlike hypocritical pussy vegetarians.

But, if vegans or veggys come preaching to me , especially in my own house, I'll rip there heads off. Especially on thanksgiving when 99% of the us eats a god dam turkey

How is a pescetarian ignorant, hypocritical and stupid? It's their diet choice and they can eat whatever the fuck they want.

When I tell people that I don't eat meat, and they ask if I'm vegan or vegetarian, I tell them I'm pescetarian and they have no idea what it is. To spare confusion, a lot of people say they're veggie or just don't eat meat. I simply put it as "I don't eat any land animals.

If you attack someone's beliefs that they ACTIVELY* believe you are bound to receive and equally violent if not more violent verbal attack.


*The whole notion that one is active gives them self established legitimacy of there actions. This allows them to be a big pain in the ass.


So now what should you do? Well just don't engage in attacks against those with firm beliefs or keep and open mind and have a real discussion. Most people with strong held beliefs do not want to discuss there beliefs because they assume they are only going to be ridiculed. It sound simple, but you need to actually do it in order for it to work.

By the way this doesn't just go for vegetarians and vegans. I wrote this with all beliefs in mind; theology, sexual orientation (thats a bit more complicated), favorite items (cars, bread, socks, and skis), idols, etc.).

I read your other posts, but you are still sound upset and you continue to make points against others beliefs. I'm kinda skeptical that you compose yourself well around others with opposing beliefs because of this. If it helps you keep out of those disputes with vegans or what have you, remember this; the bigger man always walks away. It doesn't matter how many wrong you are or how wrong they are, the fact that you don't engage and play those games makes you better than them.

I honestly think some people who eat meat think they are better. I think you are all like 'ohh I am so natural and manly and I can deal with the harsh reality of death' correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think self esteem from assumed superiority is ever healthy btw. Also, of course vegetarians are going to talk about it. It comes up. If you're like... hey man you want a burger, it's gonna come up. Meat is a common dish and if someone avoids it you're going to notice. Even if they do tell you about it, you tell them about your choice to eat meat all the time. It's also what they believe in. Most people eat meat because it's what they were born into, they didn't chose to. People who are vegetarian made that choice against the norm because they think it's right. People spread their political beliefs and talk about them and generally don't get shit on as hard as vegetarians which is silly because I think it's a similar scenario.
