How to spin faster

Im trying to learn my first double on the tramp(dub misty) but i jus cant get enough rotation, the rotation feels it isnt as fast as it could be, what do i need to concentrate on? Like is it about tucking harder or do i need to set the spin harder, and how?

use your arms as well as shoulders ( your entire body) to spin in your direction, go bigger

Have you tried to do a 1 1/2 misty and when you feel like you could over rotate a 1 /12 go higher and try the double !

You need to propel your whole body in the direction you are going and tuck real fast.

only ski park. buyshort skis and wear tall tees.... oh and go on NS everyday and take what everybody say super seriously.  always put gangster music as your edits also.

i think the obvious answer is to just practice.

Basically you just answered your own question.

One tip I can give is make sure that you are getting enough height before you attempt the double, and make sure you bounce just as high when you are going for the spin.

can we transition the thread to tips on spinning faster off jumps. like do you chuck with your head or shoulders or waist or all of the above. when i try anything over a 540 i eat shit, normally by not spinning at all cos i try spin to much...

That's a trick if you're in trouble but use reverses to land in a "landable" position. + it can give you an extra 180 in your rotation. I often use them.

I remember having a bit of trouble when learning to 720, i tried to do a huge wind up with my shoulders and spin with power. Instead you must focus on setting the spin as quickly as you can and be very relaxed, like "snap" it around. It will be easier to stay balanced also.
