I dated this one girl from like, november - january a few years ago. Got maybe 6 or 7 preseason days in. Upon realizing that I had barely any days yet, I broke up with her. Didn't start dating anyone else until may, and broke up with that one come october. I'm a fucking teenager, and I'm guessing you are (or in college or a little after, not many people on NS are over 24.) so why limit yourself? Are you gonna marry this girl? Most likely not. Focus on yourself and just have fun

thats the only time i want to have a girlfriend.

I work till 6pm or 7pm (dark) every weekday, so its nice to have a girl to come home to. Its also pretty damn awesome to take a shower with and then get blown by a sexy girl every saturday after a 8 hours of driving and 8 hours of skiing.

saturday is for your friends, sunday is for your partner. pretty simple, easy compromise.

Summer is the time you want to be free to do whatever. in winter most people cant do shit during the weekday because of the lack of daylight. happy hour during the summer is the shit!

Honestly, not bringing your girlfriend along sometimes because you won't have fun? Somewhere along the line you are messing up if bringing your girl isn't fun. Skiing is what you make it...


I have an ex who skied and boarded, and some of my best memories of our time together are from when we were on the hill. Tons of laughs, just a lot of fun.

never had a boyfriend that didn't ski so I can't tell you what that's like. But my bf rips and is one of the most awesome people i know and i love skiing with him. If you have a girl that skis, you have to find the right balance. You obviously can't ski with each other all the time. You have to have time to shred with your bros but make some time for her too. I never expect to ski with my bf all the time. and I don't expect him to ski with me and my friends all the time.

Hard... I'm used to "summer romances" now... Even finding girlfriends who ski... I just don't particularly enjoy skiing with them (even when they shred)

Not in a sexist way cause we have girls who shred in our "crew"... Just It's my me time. Suppose unless you find a girl who shreds and has the same mentality towards life as you it could work.. ahaha

But if you live in a resort how can you not take advantage of the new batch of girls every week....

why would your girlfriend get i nthe way of skiing? its either i'm going skiing on a pow day, or go fuck your mother. i hate couples that have to be together all the time, its sickening. live your own life and spend a little time with her on the side, when you get married you're going to have to be with her all the time, so why do it now.

yo man i had a girl freind for a whole winter and all i wanted to do was chill with her and get laid everyday so i didnt focus on skiing and i didnt progress alot that year, i would highly reecomend not having one and focusing on skiing, worsde comes to worse you goto this lovley website called www.pornhub.com and bust a nut there, then boom your good!

it's true.

The reason I love skiing is because I can go out there and do whatever I want. Sometimes it's fun alone, sometimes it's fun with friends. But it's always meant to be fun.

Too many kids on here worry about how they look, who they ski with, or whether or not red bull is gonna notice them for throwing that sketchy as hell 3 off the smallest feature on the mountain.

i feel like a lot of the people saying "Break up with them" dont have girls to break up with... I dont see how its that hard to hold onto a girl during the season, youre not skiing comps every weekend.

Last season I had a bf who did not like to ski as much as I did, so I just went whenever I wanted to and 90% of the time he stayed at home. I enjoyed my winter and eventually we broke up, different interests = different lives = not a good relationship.

Either way, find a girl who has the same interests as you. Girl skiers are the best !!!!!

I have had girls break up with me because of skating and snowboarding because they always say do you like skating/snowboarding more than me/spending time with me. Which I always reply "Yes you will never be as good as skateboarding or snowboarding and you should know that." Because it's true and I'm not gonna lie and say you're more important to me than the two most important things in my life outside my family.

I had a girlfriend who was a ripper for a few years, but on the hill, I would say we had more arguments than pleasurable times. I think it mostly had to do with her wanting me to do things her way, not my own - which eventually led to us breaking up (Note to anyone: Do NOT try and change your partner, it just wont work, ever).

My current girlfriend does ride, but she takes it much more recreational and we hardly go out together. We have a much, much healthier relationship, and I think the fact that we keep my skiing and my relationship somewhat separate to a certain extent is a good thing to keep it healthy. She still has to put up with endless jabber of ski talk, but hey, I have to put up with her cooking and cleaning all the time, so whatever.
