What are your opinions on the state of things?




I personally think we should scale back our police force. Get a nice overhaul to try and bring it back around to what it was intended. I think we should cut down airport security by a lot, and get rid of most of what's in place. I think a lot of what's going on isn't really keeping us safe, but it sure is taking away our liberty.


It's interesting that you have to get rapes to get through security in an airport where you I feel you would be relatively safe regardless, but you don't find any security at all working the subways in NYC at night where you aren't always that safe.

Not saying we should get rid of everything, but that we should find a balance. $.02

It is soo fucking likely that you're going to get blown up in a plane. You should be far more worried climbing into a car. Some guys looking at my balls isn't whats keeping me from getting blown up.

The news just has the terrorism hype train up their ass. From the way they tell it. You'd think you were a second away from being killed in 26 completely different terrorist plots at any point in the day. Fucking hype.

I don't have a problem with metal detectors and a simple security force. I'm not saying there should be no police or security anywhere. That we should even get rid of all security or metal detectors for courts.

To the a few people in the thread.

I mean if you're that worried about all planes getting hijacked and flying wherever, keep the door locked. If the plane isn't going to carry them away to freedom or blow something up it's really not that useful. "Well they could blow the plane up" Sure, but there are a million better things, with more people people. Why waste your whole plan on knocking an airplane out of the sky.

It's all hype anyway. Call me crazy but when I walk around, drive my car, get on an airplane, getting killed by terrorists doesn't even really cross my mind.

they are there to protect you from threats and danger, if you are one of those two things then you suck, but as much as i may dislike the police for writing me a ticket and or busting my parties, i am quite happy when they respond to a drive by two houses down at a fast speed

The last time I flied, TSA wanted to make sure that the heat from my body's cellular respiration wouldn't disrupt the equilibrium of the cabin, so they gave me a rectal thermometer. I'm with the abortionator.
