dont overdue a hookah, you will never want to smoke hookah again..
use an apple/pineapple/kiwi/other fruit as your bowl head. look it up on youtube. adds some flavor and makes you look like a pro.

just going off ideas. but my friends put lemon juice and water in their bongs to make the smoke taste better. Does anyone do this with their hookahs?

NO. Putting anything besides water is your base will gunk up your hookah. Especially milk. It eventually starts smelling bad, too.

anybody know how to teach someone to french inhale...? Or of a good video, I can do heavy smoke balls, rings, dragon, basic stuff, but would like to learn french inhale and some more advanced ones if someone could send something my way.

fill your mouth with smoke, then close your mouth and push the smoke out without actually blowing it out, while you do that be steadily inhaling through your nose...

I'll get a picture of my hookah up here when i get back to school.

some tips...

1: break your coals at least in half, and place the pieces on the rim of the bowl, not in the middle. coals should never be in the middle, it leads to harsh smoke from too much heat.

2: use less tobacco than you think you need, everyone overpacks their bowls.

3: don't start pulling until your coals are fully lit, you don't want that nasty shit in your shisha or in your lungs.

recently chilled at my friends apartment and we were out of weed so we put a few of the stems he had kept over the weeks into the bowl of his hookah. made it sorta harsh after a while but got us a nice mellow high haha i also went to a lounge and people were blowing fat 3 or 4 inch rings that shot 3 feet out. anyone know how to do this?

The resin clogs hoses surprisingly fast. After extended use the seals start to degrade as well. I'd like to imagine that would take a fuckload of use to do though.

yeah if you think about all the res that could come from just a few stems and spread that through an entire hookah it wouldn't be much at all. his hoses are pretty much held on by ducttape so his seals are already fucked just from regular wear and tear haha

Anyways, we need to keep this thread about tips, tricks, and awesome shit.

A super easy way to defuse your smoke is put duct tape over the end of the stem, and poke holes in it, works like a charm. Obviously isn't healthy, but Yolo

My friend brought me a shisha back from Egypt when I was in high school and we used it all the time. Then one day my mom saw it in my room and broke it and threw it out because she thought it was used to smoke drugs ahahah. I dont know what the fuck she was thinking though because I had showed it to her previously and explained to her that it was just tobacco. Whatever.

As for tips, I liked to break the coal in half after lighting it and I would only put one half on the bowl and I would keep the other half on the little plate thingy; I personally thought it was too harsh if you threw the whole thing on there.

Also, put the coal on the outside rim of the bowl, not right in the middle. Less harsh.

Putting ice in the vase makes it nice.

Also every once in a while, I would take off the bowl and then gently blow into the tube to clear out the stale smoke so you get some fresh stuff back in there.
