Someone had to make it. Hopefully this thread will help reduce election crap in the rest of NSG.

This is the place to post election news, opinions, argue with people, ect.

I will try to post news articles and such, and try to remain non-partisan.

So answer me this, NS: Romney-Ryan or Obama Biden?

Low voter turnout isn't going to change anything. The fact that you think you're achieving something by doing nothing just blows my mind.

If you don't like the two major candidates, you should look into voting third party. There are plenty of other candidates out there; I'm sure at least one of them matches your own opinions. The best way to tell the major parties to get better candidates is to give them more competition.

Bush get's blamed for everything clinton did, obama gets blamed for everything bush did. Everything that's wrong now is because of the other party being in power before but the other side and the mainstream news tries to slant it and say that it's all because of our side.


Just saying that it's retarded. All the recent presidents blow balls and were in no way legit.

But people watch the news about their guy and think





Voting dem isn't the obvious right choice, it's simply the trendy one. It's got that rebelling against what our parents believed kind of appeal. Seeing 14 year kids with obama signs simply because of the trendiness made me WUT so hard.



It's all a game these days, most people are playing it, and the vast majority of them aren't even aware.


The system right now is set up to keep flipping back and forth between "sides". That makes sure that the other side will always have a chance to fight all the wonderful things your side is done and give you somebody to blame. If you're a rep, obama is ruining the country. If you're a dem, bush tried to ruin the country.

Either way it's not my parties fault, it's all your parties fault, the only way to save our country is to get more of my party into office so I'm going to yell a bunch, and send money to make sure our country is saved.


I kind of want to try out a social experiment. Take a bunch of shitty things the reps have done, and tell people it was the dems. Ask people for their opinions on the issues. And do it the other way as well. I bet it would be pretty fucking sad how as soon as any of the things their party has done get put on the other "side" they instantly become evil terrible things.

Nobody actually believes what they say. You just practice the lines they give you, show up, blame the person you're supposed to hate, make a few bucks, and the crowd goes wild.

That pretty much seems like an outline of political office these days.

In countries in the middle east, people are tortured and killed for doing so. People have fought and died to give you that right of representation and if you choose not to take advantage of that I think that is ignorant, lazy, and stupid. He is the commander and chief of the US Army, and it was his call to action and one of the gutsiest moves made. Theres a reason why he deserves credit for this just like there is a reason for people to give JFK shit for the Bay of Pigs. If this mission failed I'm sure everyone would have been quick to blame Obama.

I don't usually agree with ar6 but he made a valid point. I'd much rather have somebody ignorant not vote than have them vote for the guy who makes the best eye contact, or the one their friends voted for.

Honestly sounds like one of those things you hear all the time on the news or in conversation. If you want to talk about people dying for the right to vote we can go that route. People also died for your freedom in general. Do you find that the least bit dickish to go out and vote away the freedoms people died to give you? Or the fact that just about everything you could ever want to know is at your finger tips, and countries like china things are wayyyy more restricted. Isn't it a little bit dickish to not explore that information and instead remain completely ignorant?

How about I just stay right here in America where I as a singular person have no choice over who runs my government because the majority of people are fucking stupid.

Idk. I understand what people are getting at. Who have the right to vote, there are a lot of people in countries that don't. I'm not anti people voting, I just think it's retarded to promote ignorant voting. You make such a big deal about people dying for the right, but then completely devalue it by encouraging people who have no valid information to go out and vote just do it. That's what the argument is saying. "Go vote just because you can". That's fucking dumb.

Something that could be classified as "ignorant, lazy, and stupid" are the people who year after year vote for the main candidates on their side believing something will come of it.
