A new ski game

Hello! I've been working on this as a little side project over the summer. It's way better if you have a controller but you can play with the keyboard if you don't have one. Try it, there are plenty of bugs!

for switch cork 5: spin 180 off lip then go down like you're backflipping off a jump forward.
For cork 7: do like 90 off the jump, then frontflip to cork. make sure you are forward when you want to uncork. uncork by backflipping out
or
start backflip, then spin at flatback position then frontflip.

Figured out how to dub rodeo and come out of it properly
Pop and then hold back for a little before starting to spin once you get to like 1 1/2 then hold the key opposite of the way you are spinning and you should come out of it perfectly

it pauses and skips like a motherfucker. One second ill be just before the base of the jump, then suddenly im in the air. It does it all the way down the run making it impossible to do anything.

Btw, all Mac players with Xbox controllers working. You can adjust the spin sentivity if you go into "System Preferences" then Hit "Xbox360 controllers" You can adjust the left angle stick and such. :)

once the game loads, you don't need internet connection. I played for a couple hour straight on my flight, its definitely the best part about it

I'm on a mac, and just tried to play with a wired xbox controller. I downloaded the dmg, but it says I can't use the controller for gameplay without a wireless receiver. Any help?

Double cork 1080: left arrow+ tap G until you have cork 7, then hold only G.

Switch double rodeo 1080: left arrow untill 180, then hold G, tap H when you flipped twice, then tap left arrow for the last 180.

Kangaroo flip: hold G until you flipped twice then tap H and then tap left arrow for the last 180.

what if you made it so that there were competition servers where people could join and up to 10 people could complete. When you aren't competing you watch the person who is currently up and all of the viewers rate the run... the winner gets some new pants or helmet or something... if there was only one competition server this could be sick

I'd say more like a s.k.a.t.e game. like first player do a trick and they all gotta do it but malcolm would have to make a trick detecting program or something like that(kinda like in jibbing but a bit better haha)

Ya Malcom you should definitely open source that shit. I've worked a bit myself with the unity engine, not the only one on here who does either. Now that you posted this people will harass you so much for updates and stuff haha.

You can kind of butter if you pre-pop before rails and lincoln + spin in the correct direction. The skier takes off and drags his nose / tail (depending on the direction) on the snow because he's a little corked, but straightens out on the rail if you do it right.

Spinning right, with the rail on your right, you pop slightly before you normally would and hold H + →

You've got to have the right angle on it to actually land on the box / rail though.

Malcolm - props, seriously. Even though it's still in a primitive form right now, you've managed to make it play in such a way that doing simple things is semi-difficult, but very satisfying when you get them right. I think this has a lot of potential. Have you considered open-sourcing it? Even if you retain a development copy yourself as the 'official' version, I'd really like to see what other people could do with the code you've already written.
