Damn paint!

I feel sad. In art class we were painting adn we dont have aprons or something for some reason and I got some paint off my shirt and I figured it would just come off in the laundry so whatever it was all good, and then after the shirt came out of the laundry, the paint marks were still there! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE, Newschoolers shirt, which I won and was limited edition. Now it has little black paint stains on it, I'm so sad...

stencil a ns logo in at the spot where the paint marks are, in that color. or else, sue SRB.

im quite confident it was acrylic. It felt like acrylic, Ill try to find out for tomorow but yeah, i think my only option is painting over it. Is this recomended?

Technically the acrylic should have come out in the wash seeing as you didn't heat set it. But then again acrylic has a mind of its own sometimes...

MikeE - for god sakes your an artist! Turn your LE tee into even more of an LE tee by customizing it the extreme to cover up your painting gaff. Make it fun and in tune with original NS logo. You're creative, you'll get something going.

As far as painting over, go ahead, either use acrylic and heat set or do this... and I reccomend this: go to a craft store and get fabric paint. Depending on the brand the process will be different, so READ the directions. Other than that use a stencil, freehand it, whatever. Or you can get fabric markers if you're not much for a brush. I suggest Rub-a-Dub get em at Staples, work great, last long.

Let us know how it comes out.

thanks alot man, I am not gonna stencil it or anythign just cause it won't flow with teh design, and it was PERFECT as it was. The only thing Im scared of about painting over the shirt is what if its not the same color? How do I make sure its the same?

just use house paint, get it color matched at the hardware store

dude you've never heard of paint thinner? Mineral spirits I think. I'm not sure what it'll do to a t shirt but it melts paint away.

i had a shirt with paint on it and it came off d-loc. It took a few washings but it went away. Poop on you I guess.

I went on Gildan's website and found out the shade of red that they use is 040 - Red. Maybe that means something haha.
