i have never really used audio in my edits but i have always wanted to. Any good microphones for 200 or less that preferably come with the wind screen thing and are not to bulky and big. oh and that can mount onto the t3i.
sennheiser mke 400 looks pretty good too. a lot smaller than the rode (won't get picked up by wide angle), 300 hours off of a triple a battery, and it is full metal. comes with the basic windscreen, but you can get a deadcat (one that works) for $35
also, the zoom h1 is good, but it is a completely different tool than a shotgun mic
treadmills are the trick to everything. fat chicks, skiing on grassy flat back yards, OK GO videos.. - jibnut
Tascam DR-40. $199. You'd have to buy a windscreen for like 35 but it's basically the Zoom h4n but cheaper and just as good if not better. I love it and it mounts on your hot shoe. Solid batter life. Buy some rechargeable batteries and your set.
